Okay so I’m that person who does not complain when it comes to fast food because I know it can be very stressful and demanding but after a dozen consecutive bad experiences I have to say something. Recently especially I’ve been getting yelled at (loud talking not actually fighting) in the drive thru because the staff is unable to understand or speak English properly. I don’t mind repeating myself but when I’m sitting there for quite literally 8 whole minutes because the staff in unable to understand what a mocha is or thinking I want a doughnut when I said bagel it gets very frustrating.
I was in the drive thru a couple days ago and when I said my order the lady was clearly having a hard time understanding and speaking English so she completely ignored me while the line up got longer. Afterwards (about 5 mins after of sitting in silence) she found someone to replace her who also struggled with English.
I understand language barriers BUT you need to know the most basic of English AT LEAST to be able to work there. When someone is completely ignoring me and getting frustrated with me because they can’t understand it does get frustrating for me as well, and I have a lot of patience for this because I work with people where English is their 3rd language.
Not to mention 3 days in a row now I’ve paid for a large or a food item and have not received it or am given the wrong size. I understand once in a while but 3 days in a row is ridiculous.
When I ordered a few days ago, the drink was very hot and they did not give me a sleeve because they were trying to rush me out due to the overwhelming traffic, the bread was hard and the butter was opened, that was very upsetting and personally I can’t eat the food if it seems unsanitary.
The coffee was completely watered down (it was a mocha) and looked unmixed and patchy and I couldn’t even go inside because the entire area was backed up from the inside and drive thru.
I really thought there would be changed after the renovation but the quality of food and service has gone downhill drastically in the last 2 years especially, I’ve been going to this place since 2014 and I don’t understand how it got worse before it could get better.
Employees need to slow down if they can’t understand instead of getting frustrated with customers, I can never be rude to any fast food employee because I know how difficult it can be but it sucks when you’re constantly met with disappointment.
I wish I took more pictures of the food but I will definitely keep an eye out if I ever for some reason go back to this...
Read moreNobody here can never do anything right when it comes to the simplest things. Every time I order from this location my order is messed up. Especially when I order on skip the dishes. Nobody knows what sauce is supposed to come on the sandwiches unless you tell them or ask. Nobody knows how to cut a bagel in half or a sandwich and if you ask for no tomato’s you are most likely still going to get those tomatoes on your sandwich. Today I ask for chipotle on my original bacon breakfast wrap and I got habanero sauce and I ordered a framers breakfast sandwich on skip and it asks if I want to add extra chipotle so I leave it expecting it to come with chipotle like it’s supposed to and it shows up with no sauce on it at all. It’s getting super frustrating with this location because it is literally every time I come here and order food or use online delivery . And it’s the only location available on skip for this area as of right now. I don’t know what happened to the other location I could choose from in the past but if I could choose a different location I would because this location would be my last choice to order from if the option was available on skip. If it’s a coffee, no problem. But anytime I get a sandwich or a wrap or Bagel there is something wrong with it. If you can I would avoid going to this location and stop at a different Tim Hortons on the way to your destination. If not I would be double checking ur food before driving away. Another note to mention. I remember last year watching a lady wipe down the sandwich table area with a rag where the food is made wearing a glove and then put the rag away and proceed making my sandwich in front of me using the same glove she just touched the rag with. After witnessing that I asked if she could re make my sandwich and use new gloves and she told me it’s sanitized and thought that was okay. I had to then say you grabbed a clean rag and then cleaned the dirty counter off making the rag dirty and now the gloves are dirty and ur making food with those gloves. I thought it was extremely disgusting. She re made my sandwich but I could tell she was not happy about it or what I had to say about her using the same gloves to...
Read moreI was a worker at this Tim Hortons for half a decade. I fully understand the stresses and problems that comes with serving in a restaurant meant for quick drinks and sandwiches. I have never experienced/witnessed what I have seen today by a manager no less.
I ordered through the Drive Thru, and already problems were starting. The Drive Thru there is notorious for having bad reception, often making people repeat their orders a few times. I ordered 2 Large Iced Capps, 2 Sausage on a Biscuit Breakfast Sandwiches, and 2 Hashbrowns. They got 2 orders wrong, both being the sandwiches. I tried to phone them initially. The reception on their phone was so bad that they couldn't hear me.
I had to drive back to this Tim Hortons to ask for a replacement for my order. That's when they asked for both of the wrong order sandwiches back in exchange for the right ones. I didn't have them on me because usually we would just replace them immediately no questions asked. This made me feel obligated to bring their sandwiches back because of how the manager worded this, this was the manager that told me to do this, that made them feel non complaint and irritated that they had to fix my order.
I came back with one of their wrong orders as the other was eaten by the people I bought the breakfast for. I explained to them that I tried everything. I tried to phone them. And I also brought up the fact that I used to work there for half a decade so I understand how things go. I told them because of this hurdle, I will be writing them a bad google review.
The manager, irritated, immediately backpeddled and brought up the fact she got my replacement sandwiches done, while not bringing up the fact that I had to bring back the wrong orders "next time". She apologized for the inconvienience, but made it feel more like a hassle than sincere apology. I will not be returning to this Tim Hortons in the near future despite it being 5 minutes away from my house. My old manager, Angela, who used to work at this location, was alot more professional and curtious to customers than...
