I have been wanting to visit or get an order from this place since it first popped up on my FB feed, and I saw their wonderful food! Today was our lucky day. We were not far from the area, and finished an appointment at lunch time, and decided to check it out. It seems like they have the COVID stuff in check. Most tables are separated with plexiglass. I will say, with the exception of one accessible, every other one is bar stool height, so if this is a concern for you, be aware. I was able to sit comfortably along the back wall, where there is a bench seating for the tables, and are comfortable, but my husband had to sit on the higher chair across from me. If he was a bit shorter, like my height, it would have been uncomfortable for him. Also, it was a bit precarious for me, trying to get up to the bench. Yes, I guess I'm a bit short. Not the restaurants fault, just making other peopke, who are short like me are aware. Now, on to the important stuff. Service was great! Pepsi on tap was wonderful. I opted not to get the diet Pepsi, to save myself the frustration. We started with chips and dip. It was warm kettle chips with the most delightful dill dip. We were hungry, and chowed through that rather quickly. My husband had the "Classic Brekkie" and was very pleased, except that his eggs were not exactly on point, but really it wasn't the end of the world. I ordered the crispy chicken burger and a poutine for a side. The burger was one of the best I've ever had... just crispy, crunchy deliciousness! The poutine, was good enough. I think it could have used some salt or something, but.. eh. I still at every last bit of it, so it couldn't have been that bad, right? I would give this place 10 stars, if I could. It definitely held up to the hype. The food was amazing, Service was good, and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely be coming back to check out the new menu!

Such a great place! Will definitely come back. After a fun time at COP, a friend and I were looking for a place that was close by and found this hidden gem in Bowness. As soon as we parked our cars we fell for this place. The whimsical atmosphere both inside and out brought smiles to our faces. From the trolley train at the entrance to the vintage polaroid photos adorning the walls, this place just radiates joy wherever you look. Even the bathroom has graffiti art that is most impressive. The service could not be any better. Our server was very sweet to us and her knowledge of the menu was on point. Every questions we had she answered like a pro. She also gave excellent recommendations for those of us who have a plant-based diet. Then whenever we needed a refill of our waters, she brought them posthaste. Definitely worth big tips this one! The food was absolutely delightful. A mix of classic canadian comfort food mixed with innovation and creativity. I had the impossible poutine which I was concerned that would be too big and greasy. Instead it was a perfect size, had the right amount of fresh and cooked ingredients, and tasted like a burger that those at home dream of. The cheesy garlic knots reminded me of home made in heaven. It was buttery, warm, and savory that warms you up from the inside out. This is a place you have to try at least once especially if you had a blast around the area itself. Do not deny yourself this dining experience. It is an absolute blast!

ELEVATED PUB FOOD with gluten-free/healthier options, and dishes made with love! It’s rare you find menu items and options like the ones at Leopold’s - you can tell they take so much pride in the recipes they create. They even have a seltzer on tap that is very similar to a white claw without loads of sugar. This really excites me and I wish more restaurants would do this. Breanna is a FABULOUS server by the way! She went above and beyond for us last night. I love that they offer a bucket of bacon and delicious homemade dips and dressings. You can tell even the guacamole and salsa is made from scratch. If you are a dill pickle fan, there are several options on the menu that will tickle your tastebuds with that dilly flavour! They even have dill pickle fish and chips with a gluten-free option. We will definitely be back to try this and so many of the other menu options. I am even sharing this on my foodie instagram account because it’s THAT GOOD! For a girl who avoids gluten and keeps carbs and sugar to a minimum, this place is like gold to me. There are definitely some keto options here as well with a few simple modifications. Keep up the amazing food quality, innovative recipes and outstanding service!

I really do enjoy this place, I regularly come for food and drinks with my friends, it’s one of our favourite spots to get together. I’ve been coming here for a couple years now, and have never experienced service like we did this past Saturday evening. I understand that it might’ve been busy, and maybe short staffed, however the server/ hostess that greeted us was not pleasant at all. She first asked us if we had been helped (we were literally standing at the door obviously waiting…) when we said no, she said she had two tables available, both on either side - she asked us where we would like to sit. I asked the group i was with, and we decided. The server said “go ahead” but didn’t tell us where the table was, and didn’t lead us there. So we kindly asked where she wanted us to sit. She was impatient, and rude. I understand she was probably busy and maybe overwhelmed, but she could’ve composed herself better, and maybe acted like she wanted to be there. When we sat down, she came up and before even saying a simple “hello” she loudly said “i’m not going to be serving any of you alcohol because it seems like you’ve had enough already”. We were shocked, especially considering we hadn’t consumed any alcohol, nor had plans too, and actually drove ourselves there. She assumed based off our happy and excited moods, that we were too intoxicated to be served a drink or two. Saying something like that would’ve been totally fair, if we had actually been drinking, but it was hurtful and embarrassing that she made that comment and assumption, we decided that we no longer wanted to stay, so we drove to another spot to enjoy our evening.

Every time i’ve visited leo’s, the servers are happy and fun and kind, they’ve always done a fantastic job at making this a place people WANT to be. This girl was the opposite, (I believe she’s new because i’ve never seen her before, during my many visits over the past few months). Regardless, she most definitely does not fit the leo’s vibe, which is unfortunate for the regulars. Not to say that I won’t be returning, but I do hope that she works on her attitude, so she doesn't ruin customer...

I am disappointed to write this review as I have had great service and food in the past. However, tonight I ordered fish tacos and curly fries. I have lots of food allergies and I asked one of our servers ( we had 2) if there were carrots in the coleslaw because I have a severe allergy. She went to the kitchen to ask and came back and told me it was a kale slaw. I asked what else specifically were in the tacos as I have an extensive list of allergies. The ingredients she listed I had no allergies to. However when the food came it looked like it had parsley on top (one of my severe allergies). I asked the other sever if there was parsley on this, she said they put parsley on all of the food. I asked if this was listed on the menu since I didn't see that mentioned anywhere. She said it's not listed as an ingredient on the menu anywhere. She told me that I should have told her my allergies so they could make sure the food was safer. However I have over 15 allergies, no one at this restaurant asked if I or anyone else at the table had allergies. I made a point to ask what specific ingredients were in the food so I didn't have to provide a long list. Parsley was never mentioned. They took my food, brought me a new meal and the tacos did have carrots in my coleslaw ( I am very allergic to this). I had to pick my fish out of the taco shell and mixture. I feel like I shouldn't have been charged for this meal and made to feel as though it was my fault although I repeatedly asked what ingredients were in the food. I am disappointed and felt like no one listened or cared. I could've been...
