there is a unique atmosphere at this particular mcdonalds. its proximity to banff trail lrt station makes it a northwest hub of some sorts. though mostly when cfl is out of season its mostly associated with illicit or grey or black markets association ever since the city took to this idea of removing the business licence of any business that the neighbourhood felt was a blight on their othwise pristine white picket fence paradise and city hall complying, one such example is the hotel that used to exist in that place that has been a parking lot for the holiday inn for mang years now. Then the Cecil hotel, the first place I stayed in calgary when I arrived here with nothing except 100$ and the clothes on my back. What gives City Hall the power to remove these two successfully operating businesses because they require the city of calgary to allow them to operate via application for some licence to do business? is that something that sounds absurd only to me? I thought the charter of human rights gave us each the right to conduct business as a fundamental freedom , like the right to live, to take a wife and raise a family, to worship as we see fit and to not have the government interfering with things that is ought to have no place sticking their noses in. we should endure their existence, I mean their entire ever growing institutional nightmare is fundamentally centered around the fact that we are the employers of these public serrvice seemingly employed to an organuzation that grants them a far wider berth for all types of places where you hear about or indeed are conciously aware of, these spots in the relationship where you could see goals being in opposition with each others ideals, and therefore either legislation has previously had to spell out what the appropriate range of conditions that may come of this particular end of the union's if any such organization has been formal in its operation. If not chosen by vote of such an organization ( this union, the very idea of it, is interesting in at least the fact it is always by definition a sort of parasitic at worst and symbiotic at best variant organization, what that means for its future if anything is unclear to me ) Though I doubt employees of a city or other governmental body have much need for such formalities as unions as they are usually formed out of desperation, rather than during the complacency of cheerful celebration....
Read moreMy 3 Son's and I stopped in to get something to eat before my eldest Son's flag football game on Sunday. We made a $51 dollar order from one of the touch tablets inside.
Inside the restaurant wasn't busy as there were about 2 or 3 tables being used inside besides us. Two smaller orders that were purchased after us were given out first. In a drive through, you don't give the guy three cars back, who only ordered a coffee, his order first. It especially shouldn't be this way inside the restaurant either. On top of this, the staff was prioritizing drive thru and mobile orders. Finally, and I am not exaggerating 15 minutes later our order was ready.
Worst of all the East Indian Male Manager who served our food never asked to see our Vaccine identification and ID. We had our ID out ready to present, as it's a Bylaw and there are signs on the plexi glass pick up window inside the restaurant asking for it. I said to him you can get a $500 fine for not making sure. He seemed too busy to care. We went and sat down.
We had to go up and ask for a missing HF Sundae, ketchup and a spoon. Of course it took three trips back up to the counter cause we noticed at different times in the meal. 15 min and missing items is unacceptable. I took a picture of the uninspiring Sundae that was served to us. The cup is not filled up.
On top of this, the restaurant wasn't clean. Tables where customers left food containers on tables were left there the entire 30 min we ate. Several tables had not been cleaned in I would guess hours. All focused is put on the kitchen and not running a facility. We never saw any staff member attempt to clean the entire time we were there. The washroom looked like it hadn't been attended...
Read moreI must mention that I ordered these across multiple different orders over there course of around 3 months, and there wasn’t a bad thing every single time but its consistent enough to where it’s not just some odd one out mistake.
The service provided by the staff here is some of the worst i’ve ever had. I don’t have high expectations for a greasy fast food place, but i order a mcflurry and I expect to have the oreo at least somewhat mixed, but i guess the staff here is too lazy to take 10 seconds out of their day to do their own job. One of the patties in my big mac had a chunk of what i assume is mold or something like that on the edge, which is certainly disgusting, but how do you miss that? Don’t worry, i’m not done though. I also had a smoothie and fries, which both of these they cheaped out on. Filling my smoothie to literally 70% has to take more effort than JUST FILLING IT. The fries box was also barely filled, and once again, it’s a mcdonald’s and i have low expectations but this isn’t just some kind of norma thing for mcdonald’s, or anywhere really. This was gross, and I’m just gonna order food from other locations if i want mcdonald’s in the future. I forgot to mention they didn’t put gravy on my poutine. Just do it man it’s not...
