Momma Jean's — Restaurant in Calgary

I had the cops called on me by, May I believe her name to be. I was in the area passing by a friend's place before my rugby game. We ordered food, I asked for a beer while we wait and told her we stepping out for a smoke. Upon returning the beer was open on the table and there was 1 man sitting at table next to it. I politely asked to have her exchange and open the beer while I was there, she replied with hostility and refused. I was not given the opportunity to explain why. I asked if she would like me to have a police officer present to assist us, because her demenour was not pleasant or cooperative what so ever. The food we ordered came for a sit down when we wanted to go. When I asked for water I was given tap water Instead of the refrigerated bottled water I was looking at. She was visibly emotionally disturbed and had strong distaste towards me. In all the establishments of different varieties and standards I have been to in different parts of the world, never have I ever experienced or witnesses such putrid service. I then went outside to take pics of the restaurant and came inside to take pics of their health certificates and any Info I could find. When I took a pic of the certificates they display for the public to see, she lost it. She charged at me demanding I delete the pics, I stepped back with my hands in the air as she hit my shoulder slightly in an effort to snatch my phone. My mind was blown and I thought it was some kind of dream. She said she would call the cops and I thanked her for that and sat down. Keep in mind at this point 1.) they refused to give new beer in exchange 2.)did not want to refund beer money [$4.50] 3.) didn't make springrols that were ordred 4.) didn't make the order to go as asked 5.) gave me tap water instead of bottle water for purchase Just so you know, when I did get the bottled water she refuse to let that be in exchange for the beer so she asked for $1.50 for water and we paid it. We had done all we can to not have any issues as time was of importance but this had gone too far. When the police came we were sitting at a table and 3 officers came in and they were putting on their gloves. Evidently they got a discription from her that gave the wrong impression. I stood up and shook one officers hand, thanked them for their attendance and they were shocked. He asked we step outside to discuss the msatter and we obliged. There were 4 cruisers outside. I explained everything very candidly to the officer who said "this really isn't what I was expecting.." They asked us to leave because the restaurant wanted us to, and we did. There was physical harm on me but here behaviour is classified as an assault as she touched me trying to get my phone. I explained to the police that I have the pics and a video clip of how rude she was and I am keeping it. There was no problem with that. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureu for a full refund as we just were not interested in eating their food. I can't say if it was good or not but i know it didn't look amazing and that's understandable we picked a quick convenient spot and walking in we had an idea of what food we might get. The service was the shocker. The man in the kitchen was not wearing a hair net and he had no gloves, so after being verbally and physically assaulted by stuff the the most disgusting customer service we lost our appetite. This was the first time trying this place and might be the last. If you want good homemade breakfast this is a good place. You want good customer service skip it. The woman who took our order was rude, not friendly at all. She really should have someone reach her about manners, and being polite. The menu is taped to the wall buy the door so if someone wants to come in your have to keep moving. The atmosphere was unfriendly. She did not come back to ask how anything was going, she did not come to ask if we wanted a coffee refill. The only reason I'm giving it a 3 is the food is good. I think your food is delicious! and good value for our money. But I would like to suggest, that you change your delivery containers. They are cheap cardboard ones. It makes the everything go soggy including the containers themselves. and their is a slight "taste of cardboard. Very dissapointing. As food your food is so fresh. I order quite a bit of delivery; and most restaurants i encounter are really up to date on how they deliver, and how food is protected and presented. Do yourselves a favor and really upgrade your delivery containers. Either plastic or even styrofoam or alluminum is better. I wont order again delivery from you...
