I have truly travelled all over the globe and this place only rivals one poor experience I had in Istanbul involving race. Accusation equals guilt in this place. It is unjust and rude that I was asked to leave (which I did with no push back). Potentially affected my career in front of colleagues because you thought you heard something I didn't say. It was a kind exchange of words over loud music and at a distance with a staff member which turned and led to their misunderstanding of language that they would not allow to be remedied by an adult conversation after the fact that carried an explanation to comfort said staff member as I had nothing to apologize for. In fact what I said was the exact opposite of what I was accused of. I won't knock the entire city of Calgary. I truly believe it is wonderful. But this place made me feel uncomfortable because of their guilty until proven innocent policy that requires revision. I have great respect and consideration for others confirmed by all who know me. I would suggest management consider, what if they were wrong and sit with that before making an out of towner feel unwelcome. If your managers are not confident or mature enough to do so, get new ones. If I were to go with their own policy, my overall experience of seeing Confederate flags being flown by trucks passing by as I sat on the patio doesn't much help my assessment of this establishments character either. In all, an overreaction with no willingness or ability to communicate by an immature staff member paired with negative social undertones directed at ethnic cultures in the surroundings of this bar lead me to suggest that BIPOC or anyone for that matter should reconsider attending this bar untill their policies change or tread carefully if you feel it necessary to be within their fiefdom. I couldn't ever comfortably return, nor do I have any interest in returning at this time. It's a shame. Great potential if not for the looming ugly policy, staff character/training and poor conflict...
Read moreWent to go out for a girls night on my birthday and decided to go to one night stands for the first time I didn’t drink a lot nor do I drink a lot or have I ever blacked out while drinking had a couple drinks and we never been sicker in our life we blacked out completely and could not hold our body’s up or do anything then we got kicked out… I am 99.9% sure that they are drugging girls here, be aware if you are a female watch your drink, even if the bartender is making it. I highly recommend you go to any other bar than this place if you are a female. You will regret it and I thought nothing of it so went a second time and again I didn’t have that many drinks and I don’t black out and the exact same thing happened… It really took a while for me to figure it out but they are drugging girls GO ANYWHERE ELS someone needs to investigate this place immediately. I am very street smart and am not one to walk away from my drink never once did I… i sat at a table the entire time and have three drinks. My gut is telling me this...
Read moreSadly this cute place with a cute patio upstairs had a terrible server ruined our first time there , girl with dark brown hair in braids recommended me a drink and being a waitress myself she forgot to tell me (what the menu makes sure to say because of this very reason) it’s not blended it’s just liquid so it was awful then had barley any tables, messed up our order she never asked lots of normal waitress questions preference allergy what meat I wanted she caught me by the washroom and asked me there. Ordered a drink from the bartender instead cuz she had nothing to recommend and asked her to get me the drink in a tall glass so did my bf and she got us short cups. Also lots of inconsistency in platting and drink rims one with limes one with not same drink etc. charged us for the pina coloda and she had added another taco onto my bill but it also came out in the order so whatever I didn’t want to talk to her because she clearly didn’t want to be at work won’t...
