Finally we got time went there to try. We have 5 persons in total include my 3 years old daughter, but my experience was not good. Feeling being ripped off.
It was 13:45 on a weekday, we were being served on a table very quick. After just 3 minutes we placed our orders, one of us need to leave suddenly for a business purpose. So we asked nicely for the possibility to cancel one of our soup noodles. And they said it was already in preparing. So we have no choice but ask for that particular one to be take-out. And that take-out showed up on our table in 5 minutes, okay that's quick, BUT the fact was that the rest of our 3 remaining soup noodles, they didn't show up for more than 20 minutes. They sensed our impatient, and probably sensed that we knew they were lying to us about the first soup noodles we would like to cancel. How can that soup noodles being prepared so quick, and the rest of ours are took more than 20 minutes.
The price of the food is about 15% more expensive than other places for a regular bowl size. I ordered a raw beef and beef ball noodles for $13.99. The least one still cost you $12.99. I should take a photo of their menu, the one in Google is out dated. The taste is only so-so.
The MOST RIDICULOUS thing is that, we only have 4 persons left, when I paid, they told us the 15% tips are automatically added. What the heck. We have never been at a restaurant that will automatically add the tips on the bill for a table of less than 8, and we only have 4. There has no sign saying that or being informed by them beforehand.
They are simply so greedy.
Thank you though. This would be my first time and also my last time. And I have been telling all my friends...
Read moreWe came here for a late lunch and did not have a good experience, which was surprising considering the good reviews. The only upside was that they had a slightly larger menu, so more choices, but it was bad value for your money and the worst pho I've had to date.
First, service is poor to non-existant. You wait at the entrance for a few minutes before someone greets you then when you're seated, no one comes to take your order. Ten minutes after we sat down, a man who brought out bowls of pho to another table finally came by. As he didn't have anything to write down our order on, he kept trying to confirm with us what we wanted. By the third time, he seemed to be able to memorize it.
We were also told that they didn't have any basil and that his wife was trying to get some. What kind of Vietnamese restaurant doesn't have basil in stock? Next, the ice water that came tasted a bit off, like there was some lingering food residue in there.
When our pho came, we immediately noticed the small portion sizes. The noodle came stuck together in a ball, the beef slices were super short, and the pieces of tendon were tiny. There were only 4-5 pieces of each, which is much less than what other restaurants give.
No one came by to check on us and obviously no one came by for payment. We went up to the cash register where a sign saying "cash or e-transfer only." The man pulled out the card machine for payment and said that it works now. That sign was sketchy, and if they can take card payments, the sign should come down. Would not recommend nor...
Read moreI came with a large group and I'm not sure if it was an off day, but it wasn't very good. Service was slow and spotty to begin with on a random weekday evening. I assume it's a family owned operation, but there was only one waitress for the entire place and while it wasn't full it was steady in the restaurant and with take-out orders. If I could give a half star I would just because I've been here before and it was much better then.
I had a family member ask for take-out orders of some of the spring rolls, which took 10 minutes and in my experience one of the best things about Vietnamese cuisine is the speed in which they churn out their dishes.
Food wise I got a dry vermicelli dish with various meat. It was a huge order and well worth the price when it came to portion size. But taste wise the meats were lukewarm and the fish sauce that came with it was weak and bland. I dumped the whole thing in my bowl, but it didn't make much of a difference. At least the springs roll in my dish came out fresh and hot.
Some of our party opted for the non-Vietnamese dishes and they said those were only okay. Some of those dishes came with a side soup, which tasted like the pho broth, but with an extra heaping of salt.
From past experiences here and from the one person in my party who did get soup I would say if you come just get a soup dish. The...
