Your GM should consider the customer before being heard first. My daughter called ahead to see if they would accept her new drivers licence along with other id as her photo ID was taken when she got het licence a few days ago. The girl on the phone abruptly said no. When she told me I said it’s ok, I’m your parent and I have enough ID for you to get in. Little did I know the same girl who answered the phone was the one who served us, she was very rude and said she’d get the manager. The manager came out and when I showed him my daughters university of Calgary ID, her health card and her temporary drivers licence he put his hands up and told me to listen! I have never been so disrespected in my life, he came out with an attitude like he was going to show me who was boss. I have worked in the restaurant industry and in retail for many years and his approach was completely unacceptable. We are the customers! Had he looked at what we had and said “Ok, this is enough to show the control board if they show up” we would be fine with that. He instead had to make a big condescending speech about my daughter calling ahead and being told no and then still coming in. We were celebrating her getting her licence and he was more concerned about flexing his authority before looking at what we brought in. The three paper items were of course acceptable but after that obvious abuse of power we will never step foot in one of your restaurants. It’s a shame that his insecurities in life made him make you lose customers. We walked out and ate at the pub across the parking lot where we weren’t treated like we weren’t valued. You’ve lost business because my daughter lives in the area and I take her to dinner a few...
Read moreLast night was my first time going to this establishment with my friends. Our server was fantastic. She was friendly, professional, and asked us regularly if we were enjoying our experience. The atmosphere was typical of a bar on a Friday evening. We were fine with it. My friend had the Parmesan fries, the Jamoburger with cole slaw, and a drink. My other friend had the chicken souvlaki, fried pickles, and a drink. I had the full platter nachos, cactus cut fries, and two virgin Ceasars (I was the driver). My one friend who had the chicken said she felt fine. My friend who had the burger said he felt gassy and bloated after his burger. I was up several times last night, running to the washroom. I found the nacho platter overcooked, dry, and lacking flavor. My friend who had the burger said it was dry and tasted like a pan fried burger in burnt grease. He also said his cole slaw had an off taste to it. My friend who had the chicken, who also invited us out, said Jameson's was famous for great food and atmosphere. I'm not bashing the establishment at all. I enjoyed the experience, except for the food. I told my friend I'm taking it as an off night perhaps? She said she has been going there for years, and never had any issues. So, I'm willing to give it another try in the future, after I'm done feeling nauseated due to the food. Otherwise, I appreciated our server and enjoyed my time with my friends there. Maybe the food will be better the...
Read moreI went there for the GGG v Canelo fight on September Sept 15 and dont ge me wrong, I was impressed that even though it was super crowded the restaurant still felt comfortable. The problem was that my drink was obviously watered down. I first ordered a dirty martini and after my first sip I noticed that it was washed down with the olive juice, and I know that's how its supposed to be made but I got no satisfaction out of it but kept an open mind so I ordered another. Again this drink was watered down, I was there to watch the fight which took about almost 45 mins maybe and had two martinis and no buzz. It makes me wonder if they were watering down my drink so staff can drink some for free or giving away drinks to their friends for free and taking it out of paying customers drinks. That my be a long stretch but there is no reason whatsoever why my drink should be watered down - twice! AND, though our waitress is nice, she came to our table to talk about whose paying for what on the LAST round of the match that had a minute and a half left, like COME ON! That's not the appropriate time to be figuring out how to divide the bill and figuring out the method of payment (ei. whether we need the debit machine) so over all, I would not recommend going to a bar to have your drinks watered down and pretty much miss the last round of the match which was my sole purpose of even...
