With all my respect to other people's reviews about this so-called Pho Kingdom, I'd share my recent experience, and I'd call it "Pho Kingdom Horror". This so-called restaurant is one of the worst Vietnamese Restaurants I've ever visited in Calgary in 30 years. I visited it for lunch with my coworkers and ordered #200 Grilled Beef, Chicken, and Shrimp. The grilled beef and chicken came reheated, warm, and dry; it wasn't freshly grilled. It was dry, tastless, and hard to chew. The "grilled chicken" tasted like dry roasted pork, so my co-worker and I were confused and called the waitress to confirm that it was chicken, not pork. She grabbed my and my co-worker's plates, took them back to the kitchen, returned the plates and said it's confirmed to be "grilled chicken". We couldn't consume the so-called "grilled beef and chicken". The Vermicelli - BUN that came with the plate was cold and dry; it also wasn't freshly boiled and cooked, it had been kept in the fridge for a few days, just like the "grilled beef and chicken" and re-heated in the microwave. The only edible food on the plate was just a few grilled (re-heated) shrimps, and tasteless and useless "shredded lettuce, bean sprouts, pickled carrot, cucumber (didn't see it), cooked green onions, roasted peanuts & house special fish sauce (cold and tasteless)". The only memorable thing I noticed was the robot delivering food from the kitchen to the tables, with the waitress following it. Absolutely useless investment, it's not the main point for people to return to restaurants, people come to restaurants for tasty food, not to watch the food-delivering brainless robots. Yaw, by the way, the 15% forced gratitude added to my bill was for the robot, not for the waitress, cooks or owners. I'd suggest that the restaurant staff and owners visit Pho Hoan Pasteur in Mahogany to understand why so many people, including me, visit it again and again (the secret is their food is freshly coocked, tasty, meat is really grilled and juicy, it's the same quality and taste every time you order it). Never, never ever again at Pho Kingdom Horror; it was a waste of time and money..attached a copy of the bill to confirm I really visited Pho Kingdom Horror House on Tue, Aug26, 2025 with my co-workers...

A restaurant that will not even reply to an email that a customer feels that they give too little for too much money is a restaurant that should be avoided at all costs. Over two months has passed since the review below and the email I sent to the restaurant. DEAD SILENCE. Caveat Emptor, let the buyer beware. You cannot say I did not inform you this restaurant has contempt for the customer. The amount of meat in their dishes is about 1/3 of what you will find at Pho Houz, Van Son, My Vietnamese Delight, and virtually EVERY other Vietnamese restaurant I have dined at, almost all excellent with generous portion.

The lemon grass chicken on rice had a dreadfully small amount of chicken. What little chicken there was was severely overcooked. The shrimp salad rolls fell apart. The noodles for my seafood egg noodle fry were literally glued together and were awfully white for egg noodle. They were stingy with the seafood too. The vegetables were generous and well prepared but I ordered a meat dish and a seafood dish with vegetables, not the other way around. This restaurant is too cheap to do it properly. There is much competition within walking distance where they give one enough meat or seafood. This establishment is more interested in penny pinching that giving a meal with sufficient quantity. All in all a dreadful experience. WHERE'S THE MEAT? You will need a magnifying...

Came here with the family for lunch on Saturday. This place had great reviews so wanted to try it ourselves. It was really good. They have parking but it's a bit of a challenge if you are coming from the west side of the city.

The place is quite spacious and the servers are friendly. They even have a robot that brings your food to your able which was pretty cool.

My daughter ordered #30 Beef, Brisket, Tendon Phở. She really enjoyed it. Great broth. I should know as I had her leftovers the next day for lunch. :) My son ordered the Special Fried Rice (#82) as he did not feel like soup. He almost finished the plate by himself because it was so good. Or he was really hungry or both. My wife ordered the Beef Ball Phở (#37) XL. It was quite filling and lots of balls. I ordered my usual vermicelli this time Pork, Pork Skin, and Spring rolls (#47). It was really good and I finished it. It only came with 1 spring roll where most places comes with 2. And lately, I have been asking for extra crushed peanuts which they happily obliged.

My wife also ordered lychee juice and it was great to see there were quite a few real lychees at the bottom of the glass. I ordered a real fruit pineapple and it tasted great.

As mentioned the place is quite spacious and very inviting. Place was not very busy when we went. Servers were great albeit a bit slow at times. We definitely...

Setting aside the drama below... I've now been here twice: This place has nice décor and is very clean and fresh on the inside. I can tell they invested more than the typical Vietnamese restaurant in the ambiance. Their use of a robot server was pretty novel and the first I've seen at a Vietnamese restaurant in Calgary. 1st time (lunch) - ordered the Pho Tai Nam - soup came out nice and hot, however beef was overcooked and noodles were slightly overcooked for my taste. Broth flavor was good. Service was friendly and they didn't charge extra when asked for more basil. 2nd time (dinner) - ordered the special vermicelli bowl and pork salad rolls. The bowl was great as it came with a wide variety of items such as the sugarcane shrimp, beef, chicken (they let me get both), meatballs, and a spring roll along with the usual veggies. Salad roll was pretty good too - came with 4 rolls instead of the usual 3 I see at other restaurants, however rice paper on the rolls was slightly drier than I would've liked but otherwise no complaints. Prices were comparable to the many other similarly-sized Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Overall: 3.5 or 4/5 but rounded up since they're relatively new and probably need more time to fine-tune the experience. If they improve the pho the next time I visit, could definitely be a solid 4 or 4.5/5 or higher.
