Pho V — Restaurant in Calgary

The new management of 2 years, they are really good cooks. I was told to come try it again. The pho special has nice thick cuts of beef brisket which I prefer, you get that nice soft meat to bite on compared to other places where the slices are thinner. The broth is very good, reminds me of vietnam. The next day, I had their beef brisket stew with french baguette, there is alot of fatty pieces which I also prefer, taste very good and flavourful. I had to order another one to take home for lunch. Then on the weekend, she had a special called " Bun cha ca " which is vermicelli noodle soup with fish cakes and fish. She made a fresh pot just for the weekend. God, this bowl is so good, you can't find this anywhere to be honest. The lady at the front, I believe is the owner, and I can tell you she cooks with love, for her customer to enjoy. I hope everyone give this place a try, its unreal. Going to have to come back and try their bun bo hue. She also do orders by the pot where you can buy like $20 minimum of certain...

I was a little skeptical at first because it wasn't super busy with Asians and it only had 4 reviews on Google. However, they definitely exceeded my expectations!

I ordered the House Special Beef Noodle Soup (forgot to take a pic because I was so hungry), and it was pretty flavorful and cheap! Also ordered the Grilled Beef and Spring Rolls Vermicelli, 4 Spring Rolls, and 4 Salad Rolls (with tasty peanut sauce). Most of the stuff off of their menu is under $10 - which you never see in Viet restaurants these days.

They are pretty generous on the portions, and right now you get $5 off any order that's over $25. Not sure when that ends but I ended up tipping them that $5 I got off. Loved every bite and will...

Hands down the best place to get authentic BBH in this city. I am a BBH fanatic and have tried every Vietnamese restaurant in this city for the best BBH and nothing ever beats Pho V. I love how authentic the BBH is. You can tell it was made with love. Every other place I’ve tried BBH at, they’re either lacking authenticity in the ingredients or lacking flavour or you can tell they’re using a soup mix. I have been only coming here for BBH and I recommend everyone to come here as well. The price is also worth it considering how much meat you get too. The portion sizes are great as well!

BBH aside, their other menu items are also fantastic and extremely flavourful & delicious! I would give Pho V more stars...
