Pita Melt Restaurant - Shawarma & Grill — Restaurant in Calgary

They are finally open! I'd been checking in frequently for the day the open sign turned on and today was the day. Firstly the redesign is great - bright tiles and repainted for great visibility inside. The shawarma equipment is visible and the wrap is all made right in the front to see. The family is wonderful and so is the food. Had the standard beef donair to try alongside a samosa and both get top marks. Flavor is excellent, service is friendly and joyful and the brightness lightens up the mood.

Excited to visit again and glad to see they are up and running.

Update I've been here more times than is reasonable since its been open. Can confirm the following - according to myself and family these are some of the best samosas in town. They are simultaneously light and airy while also being packed full of delicious juicy beef or flavorful chicken. I watched the place be under construction for over a month and once I found out that a shawarma shop was opening, I couldn't have been more excited. I was one of the first customers there and was delighted by how wonderful the customer service and the food was! I bought a Chicken Shawarma platter with a Beef Tenderloin skewer and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. The food of course was as delicious as it looked and on top of it all, the owner was kind enough to give me some free tea and a baklava on the house! This is my second visit to Pita Melt, and I’m already hooked. My first time, I tried their Chicken Shawarma, which was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and everything tasted so fresh!

This time, I decided to try the Tenderloin Steak Wrap, and wow—it was the real deal! The steak was tender and juicy, seasoned to perfection, and wrapped with just the right amount of toppings. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Honestly, it was so good it felt like a treat with every mouthful.
