Rio Pizza Temple — Restaurant in Calgary

Wow unreal experience tonight with some guy taking calls! My family has been ordering from this restaraunt since it opened its doors and let's just say after tonight's experience we won't go back. First off the guy over the phone was clearly not listening one bit I had to repeat my phone number 3 times before he finally still got the wrong one. I ordered my usual with no changes or substitutions and the guy put me on hold then disconnected my call. He offcourse never called back so I had to reach back out. Upon second conversation he had me once again repeat my same order and sat there arguing with me what I could and couldn't place on MY PIZZA! 15 years iv been ordering from this specific location in Temple and not once in that period of time did I have such an ignorant individual waste my time and argue over my personal choice of pizza. Disrespectful and worst customer service iv ever experienced, it's true the prices go up but the customer service and ignorance just gets worst with time. Nomore driving across the city and putting money into these ungrateful owners pockets... Your employees are the face of your company if you cant train them and pay them properly this will always be...

The service and atmosphere in this hole in the wall pizzeria was never what brought me back over the literal decades I've been eating here. The pizza was always phenomenal, amazing taste, texture with a great crust. I'm guessing the place has changed management at some point in recent years or their ingredients, or their style cause the last few times I've had pizza from them it had progressively got worse and worse.

I started noticing the pizza was undercooked, then I started noticing raw dough in some orders. I began asking for it well done, still finding raw dough which naturally means output volume is more important than quality. This last order though, though 2/3rds of it went in the trash. Well done and still raw in the center, the cheese tastes off, the amount of toppings has considerably gotten smaller.

I recently visited Rio after being out of the area for more than 10 years. It was Always the favourite place for pizza for myself and my children. I was excited to see the owner after so long and dying to taste the pizza again. I was surprised to see that there were new owners, and to be honest I was a bit apprehensive that the pizza would taste anything like I remembered, but I decided to give it a try anyway since I had come so far. The staff was amazing and quite confident in their product and rightfully so! I could not believe the flavour! It was Exactly as I remembered, quality cheese, one of kind sauce and the same unique crust I have always loved so much! ❤️. The best pizza in my opinion EVER.
