The Cons= Before last week our family used to loved going to this place for a Buffet Lunch. In Fact My Grandma Couldn't Shut Up about it every time that we finished. So much so if she had her way we would be going to this place for a lunch buffet every Thursday. Anyways I just felt that Starting from Last Week the Quality of their Lunch Buffet had Dropped Drastically. Before it used to be Amazing......well Good Enough.
But after last week I Personally found most of the meat items be it Fried or Not a little on on the Too Dried Side, and I say the same for the Dried Noodles. Which was why the next time that we decide to go out for lunch it would be at another Chinese Restaurant. And besides we've been wanting to try this other Chinese Restraint out for a while. And just like others have said they don't let you fill up the Lunch Box anymore which really stinks. Because before the Lunch Box that we Pack was more than enough to fill me up for the next day. But now it just Barley does the job, I'm talking about after finishing up the whole box I'm only just full. Where as verses before I would had separate some items because it was just simply way too much. And that should do it for the Cons for now Unless I'm forgetting anything else.
The Pros= But all is not all lost or Negative I Personally found that their Mango Pudding was still amazing. All be it a little on the warm side but still Pretty Good, and Love that Presentation with it looking like a Big Orange Fish. And sadly that's about the only Positives that I could come up with right now. Which means that Unless I'm forgetting anything else that should...
Read moreDo not visit on a statutory holiday such as Christmas or New Year. This place does not adequately serve all the tables in a timely manner on those days; I visited with 4 other people on Christmas eve and they had a full-house. It took them more than 2 hours to get 8 dishes on the table. Sure, the price to value ratio per plate is good—in comparison to other restaurants in this city—but it is not worth the wait if you just came into the city from someplace else after hours of not eating much.
This is definitely not the place to be if you need food in your stomach as soon as possible on such days. I do not think this place can handle it being 3/4 full daily. They have enough waitstaff but they have redone the same dishes before and likely wasted food in the process of trying to get at least 1 dish out to all their tables.
They need to figure out a more efficient and expedient way to cook their menu items because having waiters and waitresses outnumbering chefs in the kitchen does not deliver good customer service, despite getting water and tea refills. The waitstaff did not apologize for the wait nor compensate any customers for their time spent waiting, so, I highly suggest just driving by your nearest T&T and calling it an evening hot pot night instead with whatever you want to cook; cook at home. It would be...
Read moreThis is our regular restaurant for Chinese food at dinner time - tried their dim sum a while back but were not too impressed, so we are sticking with going there for dinner.
There are usually some good choices of items on the two special menus, which we always order from. Our all-time favourites are the Lobster with Crispy Noodles in Cream Sauce and Peking Duck. Their scallops and beef in a deep fried taro nest is also a popular item on the special menu. The more common items like veggies dishes, chicken dishes, and rice / noodles dishes are in the book menu.
We love how they have a dessert bar with fruit and sweet soup desserts such as red bean dessert, mung beans dessert, etc.
Although there are plenty of spaces at this restaurant, it can get crowded over the weekends and during special occasions, such as Lunar New Year. No problem with parking though since there is a big free lot on site.
Staff are friendly but services sometimes is a hit-and-miss if the restaurant gets really crowded. However, all is understandable and the staff do try their best to attend to different tables. Definitely a good place to eat at for any Chinese...
