I've been coming here since 2018 and it's awesome. The crust is the best pizza crust I've ever had. There's lots of cheese and toppings too, it's very filling. I usually order off their website so I can use the 15% off coupon or the 'buy one get one 50% off ' coupon then go pick it up, but I have dined inside with my kids in the past and we've also dined at their outdoor tables as well. It's extremely clean inside and the staff are friendly. We usually order the barbeque chicken pizza (the kids always want the red onions left out but it's still amazing even without them) and it's delicious. Their Hawaiian pizza is my favourite out of anywhere I've tried it, and their Hawaiian Heat is the best thing ever. Those are the top 3 pizzas I'd recommend here. To give an idea of price, after I order an XL barbeque chicken pizza and add the online 15% off coupon it comes to $27 total and there's 8 slices (I have a family of 4 and honestly the 2 slices each usually fills us up because they're thick slices). The only reason I ever order from anywhere else is if I want a larger quantity of pizza with leftovers after since that would get too pricy here. But over all it's a great place. My only suggestion would be to start including the XL pizzas in the 'buy one get one half off'...
Read moreI've been ordering from Sophie's Pizza for years. Sophie's owners used to run Spiro's pizza on 17 Avenue and 33 street I'm guessing it must be about 15 years ago and had the best pizza then. With the move to Sophie's, they've reworked the menu to match the take-out focus. They've introduced pastas and salads but I haven't tried them yet. There are a few barstools and small tables - very casual atmosphere - but it's pretty clear this is mostly for take-out or delivery. Their pizzas are certainly what brings me back. The pizza crust is toasted on the bottom and when eaten soon out of the oven, it has a satisfying crunch. The longer it sits in the pizza box, the less the crunch so I usually go and pick it up. The sauce has this sage hint that I like that balances the sweetness of the tomatoes. On the very thick and meaty pizzas, like the Damn Good (Smoked ham, green peppers, Valbella beef salami, black olives & Sorriso pepperoni) I'll pour some balsamic vinegar into a bowl as a dipping sauce and that helps bring out the taste. I've been consistently satisfied with...
Read moreI tried this place a few years ago and even though it's expensive, I loved it. The pizza sauce was slightly spicy and addictive. Some time ago it seems like management or owners have changed. Now the pizza is like a 7 out of 10 instead of a 10 and the service is good but not as good as before. There's not enough toppings, skimpy on the cheese but the sauce is where it really went downhill. It doesn't quite have the same flavour. It's almost like your run of the mill pizza sauce now. For the price - not worth it. I really miss the old pizza - it was my favourite but I don't get it as often anymore. The crust is still amazing though, very consistent. I'm wondering if others feel the same way because when I do go, it certainly...
