I have been a Patron for few yrs cause I like their food their friendliness . Last three times I took my order home and each time I found hair in it not very nice thought and feeling. That kept me away for few months.. I wanted to give them a chance this time, I went to have chicken swarma and the pitta was raw dough which left a terrible taste in my mouth I started peeling off the raw parts of pita bread Then I asked them to put it back on the toaster to cook it a bit more. He was very accommodating and friendly with great smiles and very kind he did, toasted it more! I Tried to finish it as I pulled out most of the raw bread to garbage. It wasn’t my best meal unfortunately.Afterwards I told the guy and gave him apiece of the raw pitta as a sample & suggested to tell the pitta suppliers that this time their batch was not fully baked and to improve on it .I left the store dissatisfied, though they are smiling and friendly I was not happy, I started feeling weird as my stomach was turning🤔. I barely made it home and I got diarrhea. Short story I feel something is missing from their service and that is hygiene. Something is off and as I had seen hair in my food in the past I feel the need to raise the bar in health standards. Friendliness and smiles are not enough in food industry when you get infected with some bug that ruins your day, the complimentary baklava doesn’t help afterwards. You pay for food that is contaminated only to ruin your days. I shared my experience with some friends and they said they had similar experience that the place is not clean and their health standards are low. I noticed tables and seats and glass windows can use a general cleaning as well. These are obviously outside where we can see it. We have no clue what is lurking @ the back in the prep area.More attention to detail is a must, before a city health inspector surprises them and...
Read moreI love the food here and most of the people too. I’ve come here for like 3 years, but every time there’s that one girl with bleached dark hair who always works there, I think she’s Lebanese but not too sure.
Every time she is there, she always looks judgementally at me, even when someone else is preparing my food she will just stand there and do nothing and look at me. Even while passing me the ketchup packets she made a face, she makes it look like she’s doing you a favour. Everyone else at any Jerusalem Shawarma location is so friendly and smiles, but this girl is just something else.
I was even at the parking lot after eating, she was in the car and playing loud music with windows down so that everyone at the parking lot could hear, which is so unprofessional. The reason I noticed her there cos she was starting me down before I felt it and I turned around 🤦♀️ and the music was so loud. go get some manners lady, you’re ruining my excellent experience at this location… I’ll just recommend people to visit chinook location from now on, people there smile at least and talk… even though it’s a little far.. it’s only cos of u this location is...
Read moreWe placed a pickup order over the phone yesterday and had the most absolute worst experience. I went to pick up the order after 15 minutes as instructed. When I got there they first denied receiving the order, saying I must have ordered from the wrong location. Then they told me that one of my friends must have picked up the order (impossible). After 10 minutes of total confusion, they finally admitted that someone else had taken my order by mistake, blaming it on another customer. As if on queue, the other customer walks back in from outside and complains that he was given the wrong order, dropping "my order" on the counter. "Oh, here you go" they tell me, "here is your order". I refused it, saying that I will not accept an order that has gone out the door for quite some time with another customer and come back in again. They reluctantly agreed to make me a new order while I waited. They said they were "sorry" however did not offer any compensation other than a 15% off coupon on my next visit. My "next visit" will NEVER happen at this or any other Jerusalem...
