We used to go to Spiros a 2-3 times a month. Last time we went we asked if the waitress could slow down a little as they tend to bring out dish after dish before you are even done the appie. The waitress then left us for ages, speaking with a friend in the back seating area for over 445 minutes as I was trying to get her attention, and never checked in after. We are always great tippers and polite. We had to order tea and sweets from someone else. So we didn't go for a good three or four months. We just went back tonight and the service was typical rush rush rush (mains out before appie even done, salad not yet touched... hello waitressing 101 here), the waitress was not all that friendly--she actually took my drink out of my hand when she brought our tea. Literally in my hand and took it and I thought maybe she was refilling it (which on a side note they never do) but nope took it and never came back. I was so shocked I couldn't even say excuse me can I have another drink since you took the one in my hand?! We left very unhappy, only gave 10% and sadly will likely never go back. The waitress that always used to serve us but we asked to slow down the previous time never said hello, scowled, and acted very poorly... very sad to see and experience. Guess our patronage...
Read moreAfter living the area for several years we finally decided to give spiros a try for dine in. Gotta say it wasn't to bad, definitely get the feeling upon entering th establishment and meeting the waitress that this has been a long time running family business. As for our order my partner and I started off with some Greek beers, one order of th Saganaki and one order of the Calamari. The Saganaki came out and was promptly set ablaze by our waitress adding a nice crispy layer the the dish, the cheese was quite nice definitely better then other Greek restaurants in the city, as for the Calamari I enjoyed it but the star of that dish was the tzadziki. Probably the best tzadziki I have had in the city, I would go back just for that. As for mains my partner ordered the "arni lamb" souvlaki plate and I ordered the "arni psito" my partners dish was nicely cooked the lamb was tender and paired really well with the potatoes, my dish was fall off the bone tender, the lamb was incredibly soft and tender and paired really well with the assorted Greek style vegetables. ALSO easily the best Greek potatoes I have ever had, I would definitely go back for the potatoes. Over all a great dinner experience, I would definitely recommend you check it out if you want a home...

We were missing Greek food from home so we decided to have a big meal after not eating all day.
Let me say from the moment we entered until the moment we left the entire experience was welcome and delightful.
The food was authentic (high praise from my wife who is Greek) and the lamb in particular was an absolute highlight. We ordered a bunch of dishes from salads to calamari to the pan cooked cheese and the whole thing was exactly what we were looking for. Food was flavourful, fresh, prepared quick and generous in portion.
Had a nice cocktail and beer as well while enjoying the decor which was honestly both cosy and visually interesting with plenty of things we both appreciated especially on top of the amazing food.
Sad we didn’t get to visit sooner in our trip but in all honesty? We heard about the place as two people walked past talking about it in the beltline and thought? Why not.
Highly recommend for food, staff and atmosphere. Please drop by and support a local Greek business because I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
For all our dishes I don’t think we even took a picture with how quickly we...
