Heritage Bakery & Deli — Restaurant in Calgary

We have used Heritage Deli’s catering services at Pembina Pipeline for a variety of events from lunches for 8 people to company events for approximately 300. Owner Kathy Batorowski has gone above and beyond with each order to ensure quality and 100% customer satisfaction. Kathy is incredibly pleasant to work with and has a great way of gauging the quantity required/kinds of dishes that would be best suited to the event. Kathy and her staff are timely with delivery, and have always taken the extra steps to guarantee freshness – even if that means staying to serve the food herself. We can’t say enough great things about our experiences with Heritage Deli and we will continue to enjoy the traditional Ukrainian on a regular basis. We would highly recommend this as a catering option for large or small groups.

Kathy and her team at Heritage Deli are AMAZING. We were married in July out in Exshaw Alberta (at an outdoor rec area) and Heritage Deli did an incredible job catering the event. They provided a beautiful (customized) buffet for 160 guests. The food was hot, fresh and made EXACTLY as we dreamt it would be. They provided two types of perogies(potato and cottage cheese), sausage, beef cabbage rolls and 3 salads (garden, Caesar and broccoli). Leading up to the event, Kathy and I chatted regularly discussing all of the intricacies of the meal (ie raisins/no raisins in the broccoli salad, toppings for perogies, dressings, venue cooking facilities, table set up, # of servers, serving utencils ect.). If you want a DELICIOUS Ukrainian/Mennonite supper catered for your wedding, look no further. Kathy also went out of her way to prepare individually packaged meals for our guests with allergies. It's reminds me of a Polish milk bar (mleczny). I use to drive and walk by this place for over 13 years, but never ones gone inside until today. I regret not coming here sooner lol. The wife was hungry and on a whim we stop by and the funny thing is that in two days we're going on vacation in Poland! Aside from that we order the breakfast special where you can pick 4 items from a list and unlimited coffee. The food was great and service was friendly. They also offer some Polish package food, pre-cooked and frozen Polish foods. They also had bakery goods which we picked up to go.
