I recently visited Beirut Bakery and Restaurant, and I have to say, it was firee. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole atmosphere feel genuine and honest. The food was top-notch, with flavors that really stand out. It’s truly a great place to enjoy quality Lebanese food. I got a 3x regular meat pies - 1 of which was loaded with veggies, a chicken pocket, a zatar, cheese pie and spicy double-meat meet pie - also loaded with veggies. Highly recommend checking it out! All this food came out to ~$56 and I was very satisfied with the quantity.

We LOVED our falafel wrap. The best we have had in Calgary. The flavour, quality, and freshness were amazing. The price was also very reasonable. The service was so friendly and welcoming from both team members who helped us. The classic baklava was really delicious and not greasy tasting. We did try the birds nest Shaabiyat, which wasn’t our favourite (subtle flavours and sweetness), but had to get one because it was so aesthetic and cute looking!! We will be back! We highly recommend this place!

A gem of a bakery. Staff are so pleasant and kind. They give you a free sample as soon as you walk in the door. The portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The donair beef was a bit dry and could use more sauce. A bit too much pickle for me. But the platter was better value and was more flavourful. I will get that next time. Some sweet items too including chocolate baklava which was quite unique. Easy parking in front of the plaza building. Would come again and try more dishes.

Pretty disappointed. I was really hyped to try this place and figured I’d support them before things shut down. The service was weird in that the guy seemed to selectively listen and respond to only half of what I told him. Other times he’d just completely turn his back and ignore me. Everything I ordered got put into some microwave to heat up, the same microwave used to heat everything else the customers before and after me ordered so not very hygienic (the front door propped open should’ve tipped me off). No meat on the spits—everything was packaged under the counter and microwaved to order. So it wasn’t fresh and who knows how long it was in the danger zone before I ordered it. The spinach and feta fatayer was cold in the middle despite it being heated in the microwave. The chicken platter was pretty tasty, I can’t lie. Kinda strange a bakery doesn’t bake their own pita but I can live with it. But something I ate gave me explosive p**ps for two days. Just getting over it now and still don’t feel 100%. I’ll give it another try and update this review if anything changes but I’m hesitant because of the blatant...

Beirut Bakery & Restaurant is a fantastic spot in Shaganappi Plaza! The place is spotless, and the service is outstanding. The staff is always friendly, polite, and welcoming—they even remember my family whenever we visit, which makes the experience feel extra special.

As soon as you walk in, they offer samples, and everything is freshly made from scratch. You can find a great selection of products to prepare meals at home, along with delicious sweets. Whether you choose to sit and enjoy your food or take it to go, the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Another plus is the convenient parking—it's free if you park right in front of the bakery, but be mindful that other spots in the plaza may require payment. If you're using public transportation, it's just a block away from Westbrook Station, and there’s a bus stop right in front of the bakery (though I’m not sure of the route number).

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic, high-quality food and...

I have been a customer of Beirut Bakery for the last 9 years. Mahmoud (the owner) is a very kind hearted and genuine person. He is vey welcoming, hardworking, honest, and provides excellent customer service.

An example comes to mind; it happened last month, when I passed by his store (it was his day off) but he was at the store cleaning and preparing for the next business day. The "Open" sign was turned off but the door was open, so I walked in and ordered 2 sandwiches (I forgot it was his day off and assumed that he forgot to turn the sign on) while he was preparing my order, 2 more customers walked in and placed their orders.

He did our orders with a big smile and didn't even say that he was closed until we asked him why the "Open" sign was off.

Thank you Mahmoud for your great food, service...
