Unfortunately, my brother hadn't been having good experiences with Tim Hortons as of late. To prove him wrong, we decided to go here to buy breakfast. We didn't know what was going to happen. Because of a positive experience at another location, I trusted that this place would be similar.
So we ordered a simple, straightforward meal: Three farmer's wrap combos, iced Capps with 2% milk, and a 10 pack of Timbits.
Our first problem was that the food was served separately. First the ice Capps, then, a few minutes later, the hasbrowns and farmer's wraps. Then, we got our Timbits. I would rather wait more time and receive everything at once, than to have meals come separately.
I then checked the bag, which was supposed to be our order. It appeared to be emptier than a bag filled with three people's meals. I asked about it, and, sure enough, they had forgotten a hashbrown and a farmers wrap. An entire two thirds of our meal, almost forgotten.
We then began to leave, but we remembered the Timbits. Forgotten. Tired of going up, I sent for my brother to reclaim them. At last, we were given the Timbits and thankfully left. The experience was awkward for both us and the workers. Tim Hortons really needs to start providing receipts, or at least a reliable system of remembering orders. I would advise a checklist, so everything is delivered by the correct amount. A log. A person assigned to check and revise orders. Anything to prevent people losing their money. We almost lost $6, not including tax, because of Tim Hortons. And on the contrary, we didn't have our order revised when we asked for our Timbits. Somebody could claim they had ordered what they hadn't, and Tim Hortons could easily lose money to that.
The service was a pinch friendlier than what we had received in other locations, though not very significantly. The food was tasty, but other locations could have done better.
Come for the food, do not expect quick, easy service. You will spent more time trying to reclaim food...
Read moreNo washrooms available for paying customers..I get it things happen but in this day and age hand washing is a huge parting ofnkeeping ourselves and our community healthy and safe. Before ordering our food we noticed the washrooms blocked off and asked the servers if they were able to give access to the washroom sink so we could wash our hands. They said no there was no access to the washrooms. As a natural problem solver I asked if they would be able to provide us with a wet cloth with some hand soap and possibly paper towel to dry up. They were extremely taken back by my request and replied with a negative response which was an automatic no, they couldn't grant access to the sink in the was room or provide us with a cloth and soap. Then I explained that Tim Hortons is a busy public fast food restaurant and that at the very minimum paying customers should have the ability to wash hands for not only the customers health and safety but also for the staffs well being. I think I was a little bit in shock as this was the first time in 38 years I had came across this issue not to mention the treatment I was receiving. The first thing that came to mind was if I happened to be a random health and safety inspector I'm pretty sure this would be considered a infraction of some sort? Before I could bring up the health and safety act they handed me a med coffee cup with some paper towel..ok great I thought bow I just need some hand soad and somewhere to dump the used water and rise up then dry off..So I asked for the basic handwashing tools and I got a response that they would be calling 911 if I continued to ask for help. (I didn't think this post would take this long..sorry) I explained that 911 was for emergencies that I would recommend calling head office or if they wanted I could call the health and safety department for assistance and advice going forward..they insisted that they would be calling 911. I ordered my food awkwardly and was served in silence and...
Read moreI have ordered via Skip from this Tim's location several times. The food and beverages have always been excellent. Packaging is always secure. This is the only location to seal the coffee cups for delivery. Much appreciated.
Once - later in the day - they were short on the number of timbits for the order, I received a call for the Skip order from this location and staff asked if I would like cookies to top the order up. I received a big box of fresh cookies. That is above and beyond what I was expecting. Some Tim's just cancel the order.
A few days ago I had another Skip order (I am addicted to Tim's 😆) and this sweet note was attached to the delivery bag. Staff added an extra treat as a thank you for staying with them.
I also go to this location in person. Staff are pleasant, the location is clean and spacious. There are some Tim's locations so filthy that I have left. All Tim's locations are busy and people will write to complain about something. When reading reviews one should keep that in mind.
I worked in food service years ago and it is NOT easy. Those leaving highly critical reviews should...
