Chicko Chicken - Heritage — Restaurant in Calgary

If anyone is looking for chick-fil-a alternative, I would suggest trying here. If you eat this chicken fresh and hot, it’s really good. I got the half and half - cheese and vegetable cheese this round as I am making my way through their offerings. It is sort of like having that popcorn topping but each piece is just coated. You’re not going to eat this without creating a bit of a mess. It’s so worth it.

I took their menu last time, as last time they suggested I call ahead to limit any waiting. It was ready when I arrived. They generously offered me a sauce, as I must have the look of a man without enough spice in my life. It was ready for take out (which was perfect because there is no way I will finish it all).

I arrived for a late lunch, and the restaurant did not have any other customers. It is tidy and recently renovated with simple decor. The jazz, lounge music is nice accompaniment to savoring this meal.

It was my first time buying food here and mentioned that I wanted to try out their original flavour at first before trying the others, but the worker was extremely friendly and was willing to give a few different ones for me to try out. The interior of the building was bright and spotless, and the chicken was also crispy and juicy. The worker mentioned that all the chicken they cook aren't frozen and are all fresh. The chicken you order is also not precooked meaning they only start cooking it as soon as the order goes through, and although one does have to wait a few minutes for the chicken to be ready, I think all of it is worth it in the end. Out of all the flavours that were given to me, I found that Herb & Garlic Cheese was the most surprising and had burst of taste. Regarding the price, it does feel a bit higher than some other fast food but they give you in return a good proportion and high quality. I think my suggestion would be to get Herb & Garlic Cheese on your fries and have a different flavour for your chickens. 10/10...

Very nice and clean dining environment, the servers are nice and informative. The chicken is made to order, waiting time for a boneless half portion of chicken is approximately 10 mins. Highly recommended to get a table and eat it right away at the place.

The chicken is so fresh and juicy, and batter is very crunchy more at the hard side. The batter is bit different from the traditional Korean fried chicken batter (which is more like a whole piece). The sauce is very authentic.

The half portion is perfect size for one person's meal, and more like snack size for two people. Fair price for the portion and overall quality of the chicken.
