Lucky's Cambridge — Restaurant in Cambridge

I debated on leaving a review for some time as I usually don't do them, but I think its a good idea that I let the place know my experience.

I visited some family around the holidays and stopped in here for a break in the drive. I had a big mac combo and the smash burger that I had was incredible, the fries were crisp and everything was freakin' delicious. WHAT IS IN THE DIPPING SAUCE? Kudos to the guy on register for keeping the recipe proprietary, ha.

Also notable: the portions were surprisingly generous especially for the prices I expect from an independent spot. I can usually hoover a serving of fries but I had to ask my wife to help me with it and we still took leftovers. We want to make sure to patron non-chain spots like this and our food experience here is one of the biggest reasons why I decided to leave a review.

Seriously though, on the drive back I jokingly asked my wife if she thought they would consider shipping to us back in the states.

My only negatives are 1. the lack of seating available (the space is small with an open kitchen) we ended up sitting near the register but I would love to have my family come and sit down to enjoy food when we come back. We fully intend on revisiting.

And 2. That we could hear the dude who cooked the burger and the lady who served us having a poorly concealed argument. It was kind of off-putting but nothing crazy, just...

I recently visited Luckys for some southern (states) inspired Hush Puppies (a version of French Fries, but made with batter not potatoes), they were amazing, home made piping hot served with an in-house made chipotle mayo for dipping, just the right amount of zippiness. If you have not visited Luckys in downtown Preston you are not Lucky… they offer Daily and Student Specials. There is lots of free parking on both sides of King Street or you can walk, board, scooter, ride or one wheel right up to the order window. I called right at close last night and they still took my order and made it fresh. The best chicken Caesar wrap I've had in long time. For the price you can't find one for less money. Great job guys. Will be back often. Edit: Had to update this review after trying the mac and cheese tonight. Best mac n cheese I've had in a long time from any restaurant. Very fair prices on everything.

Update after 8 months of going at least 1 time a week if not more: Everything on the menu is great I've tried it all. The quality is always the same top level made with pride. If you haven't been here before go try it you will not regret it. Follow their Instagram they post daily...
