another edit as the saga continues with this terrible place I literally activated a new credit card and used it on the Popeyes app. It has never even left my house. There are now hundreds of fraudulent charges on my card. Thankfully visa is helping to get it back but all Popeyes could say was "we can't see any additional charges on your card" Duh it's my account, obviously you can't see details of my credit card. Their app security is either non existent or someone on the back end is selling people's info. This whole thing is just so crazy. DO NOT USE THE APP!!! wanted to edit with an update I returned to the store today because I really believed I deserved some money back. The manager insisted she wasn't the same person as last night (she 100% was.) I started to tell her my story anyhow and she interrupted and said well it was a mobile order, I asked how she knew if she wasn't the one last night and she just stared. She "spoke to the owner" and said they remade my wings and offered me a pop, that's all they could do. I stood my ground, said I really thought I deserved some money back. I was extremely inconvenienced for a potentially really dangerous mistake THEY made. I asked if I could speak to the owner. She gave me some Gmail address. She said she would go talk to him again. 20 minutes later, she never returned and was no where to be found. So I left the store. My toddler was getting impatient. Also note I left a complaint with public health as they seemed to indifferent about the raw chicken.
I also just spoke to Popeyes Canada who without question refunded me, apologized and escalated it to the regional representative.
It's my wedding anniversary. My husband and I both love wings. I ordered almost $90 in wings. Drove to pick them up (10 minutes from my house) in a snow storm. We arranged for our kids to eat dinner at the neighbours so we would have an hour of quiet dinner time. We sit down, my husband takes a bite. Raw. We check others, all raw. I call the store. "Bring them all back." I tell them to start cooking them I'll be there in 15 to 20 minutes depending on road conditions. I get there. They haven't started cooking them. So I then need to spend the next 20 minutes waiting. I explained it was my anniversary and I was spending my hour of kid free time there.
They did remake my order. Thankfully. And they threw in "some extra wings", 2 to be exact. 🤔 And they offered me a free pop.
So I drove there and back twice. My husband possibly got food poisoning, and I had to come home and then put my children to bed while the wings got cold. Because kid free time was over.
I asked for some money off. They said no, but we can give you a pop.

Read moreUsed to be better, I think they have new staff as I haven't seen the old staff in a long time. Now it takes much longer to get your food. Before it was a quick in and out under 5 minutes, now it can take 10 minutes or longer to get your food even if it's already cooked. The last few times I went there, they had to substitute chicken pieces for mild.
Once they wanted to give me all dark meat in a 5 piece meal after I already paid instead of 1/2 dark 1/2 white because they had no white meat ready. Another time they only gave 1 white meat and 4 dark meat instead of at least 2 white meat pieces.
They used to be more generous before, sometimes substituting white meat pieces if there was a long wait for dark meat, or giving an extra piece of chicken if you waited too long. Miss the old staff. Not they seem to jip you, giving dark meat instead of white or making you wait 15 minutes.
They also continue to take order after order, but not filling orders at the same time, making wait times even longer. Sometimes they don't even tell you the chicken isn't cooked until after you paid and already been waiting.
Used to like going there before because of the staff and speed and the quick in and out. Now I almost dread it because it can be anywhere from a 5 to 15 minute wait, especially if more customers come in after you.
Also wish the chicken sandwich was consistent. Sometimes you get a nice big and juicy breast piece, other times it's much smaller and drier.

Read moreFor the past few days I have been visiting most of the restaurants and cafe's near me.One the previous day I have visited one of the Popeyes in the Kitchener area and that was quite impressive not only food but also the ambience. With that same level of expectation I walked in to the Popeyes #11159 , 480 Hespeler Road, Cambridge but then It was a complete hell for me. Me along with friends have walked in the restaurant and managed to order food after waiting for 10 mins even though no one was waiting infront of us. When the lady (I guess she was the manager) who taken our order was a bit rude and managed to mention our time to finish food as we are having the food from the store. After ordering we have waited for 35 minutes to get food and the real bad experience for me and my friends starts from here, We got 5 pc chicken * 3 as we have order and it was all dark meat ( basically full of leg pieces) which is full of oil and its dripping while taking on hand. and then after waiting for another 20 mins we got rest of our order. which was 4 pc tender chicken which smells like yukkk. Tastes like it was all cooked on fish oil and like the tastes like it was weeks old.
