I followed up and sent an email. I received no response. Thank you. Today, April 13, 2023 Is the first time I have had a shock. I know restaurants have had a hard time through Covid and trying to bounce back, but today took the cake when I asked to talked to a manager, and after showing the thick uncooked batter on a couple of zoo stick (that I had to spit into a napkin discreetly), which he excused as they are trying a new batter. [Uh....not my problem until I tried to eat it.] The real concern I had, was that the woman who brought my food (not the waitress, as she was quick to remind me), carelessly dragged 2 unsanitized vinegar containers through the ranch dressing and anything else in it's path....zoo sticks....burger top..... to land on the table covered in ranch dressing from the very plate I was served. This? After all the sanitizing of Covid? I have no idea how many hands, or anything else were on the side and bottoms of those vinegar bottles. It felt like, that's it? He apologized and said he'd see what he could do for my bill, (for these frivolous things), which was 15% off....hmmm. I don't know, but it felt a little more concerning than that to me, especially the unsanitary cross-contamination, of condiments that were not wanted or asked for. I’ve lived in Campbell River for over five years and frequented the White Spot Restaurant about two to three times a month since I moved here. The menu is great, the food is good but the staff is what takes this location to a whole new level. During my last visit I lost a ring. A lovely little silver pinky ring, with an inlaid mother of pearl heart. It has no real value to anyone but myself. It belonged to my mother and was her baby ring. I phoned as soon as I got home and realized it was missing. I spoke with Josh. He was as upset as I over the loss. He immediately checked the washroom but wasn’t able to find it. Josh left a message with the service manager who phoned me the next day to advise it had been found. She had looked herself. When I went to pick it up, the kitchen manager brought it to me. Read morei ordered my food online at 7:00pm and i showed up when it said it would be ready and i’m still waiting at 7:55 this is absolutely insane. i asked why the wait was so ridiculous and the lady told me “it takes time to cook food.” first of all does your staff think the customers are stupid? secondly how much ruder could she have possibly been. like what the hell ive worked in customer service for about 4 years or more now and this is never how i would treat a customer or how a business should. IM STILL WAITING FOR A TAKE OUT ORDER I PLACED ONLINE OVER AN HOUR AGO AND TO BE TOLD THAT “food takes time to cook” IS JUST PLANE RUDE AND HONESTLY IM ASTONISHED i will be calling the manager tomorrow morning 🙄 UPDATE: just got home opened the food and it’s honestly garbage if i don’t get some compensation for this i will be taking it to head office.
