Al's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Campbellton

I'm from Montreal and obviously in a city that size there are so many good pizza joints. However Miss Italia is the ruler of all in my family and circle of friends.

I no longer live in MTL but visit often which also means a trip to Miss Italia Now having said all that this is about ALS PIZZA in Campbellton, NB.

The first time I tried it 5 years ago I was not impressed. They were using canned mushrooms...yes canned mushrooms. Oddly enough everything else was fresh but I just couldn't get passed that fact.

Fast forward 5 years, new look, new owner and yes...FRESH MUSHROOMS! Best Pizza in the Restigouche area in my opinion.

Food is not good at all. Sorry, but true. I love Donairs, Pizza and GCF but not the ones from Al's Pizzeria. Food doesn't taste fresh. GF is agreeing with me. For the price it cost me for Pizza, GCF, Pop and Donairs 100$ more or less with tips, I'll never eat the food from Al's again. A total disappointment. It was good back in the days, but that taste is long gone. Won't suggest anyone to go there and never going back. (Meat tasted funny, Pita all soggy, Donair sauce way too liquid, Pizza dough not...

Staff are great. Friendly and welcoming. Pizza is not good unfortunately. We have ordered 3 large pizzas, vegetarian, pepperoni, and the works. The crust on all 3 was incredibly thin and flimsy, the cheese and toppings slid right off if picked up by the end of the slice. There were only 3 toppings on the vegetarian which seemed pretty light for that type of pizza. We didn't order any of the other menu items available so I can't speak to them. Unfortunately I can't...
