I always remembered it as being a nicer restaurant, although it’s been years since I’ve been. I had the chicken cordon bleu (pictured) which was tasty but not plated very nicely. Potatoes lacked flavour and I feel like there could have been more veg. Wasn’t impressed by a few things: - The first thing I noticed walking through the door was the smell of cheap cleaning products - Server wearing yoga pants and t-shirt, hair not tied back - unprofessional look from the moment we entered. Maybe try dress pants, a polishable shoe, and an appropriate top? Let’s not forget that the average person sheds 100 or so hairs a day. Tie it back. - Music was staticky and kept cutting out into commercials. Pay a couple bucks for Spotify and you’ll have thousands of suitable playlists that don’t cut to commercials - Our food (chicken and a burger) took almost 40 minutes to come even though the restaurant was not busy (3 tables) - My friend ordered burger and a soup (which came on a checkered diner style paper) - the soup (Potato Parmesan) was terrible. Had absolutely nothing in it, no taste, and was the consistency of milk. It was confusing actually. Even if you blended a potato soup to oblivion, it would not be as thin as Gumby on Ozempic. - Server did not check to see how food was, so after we finished eating and she came by several minutes later to clear plates and bring the bill, my friend mentioned the soup and the server did offer a different side, but it had been too long and we had to get going. No discount or anything towards a future visit - Ketchups, dirty half full salt and peppers, and diner style cutlery roll ups on every table diminished the atmosphere. - To add to last comment - don’t get me wrong I love a good diner, cafe or truck stop, but this place (I didn’t think?) was going for that. I’m not sure what they’re going for tbh. It’s like it used to be something else and new management didn’t uphold those standards? That’s my best guess. It lacks identity. I would not know how to describe it to another person. All in all, I might return but I now know that it’s far from a higher end restaurant. I’ll give them this - the prices are reasonable. But slooooooow service, at least from the ones working when I was there.

This place was so much better before these new people took it over. My pizza was awful and tasteless. A Hawaiian with bacon- on the entire pizza there wasn't even 10 pineapple bits, the bacon was hard dry and tasteless, the ham tasted old. There was more bacon added than pineapple. There was more cheese than crust or toppings (or lack There of), I understand some people like lots of cheese, but there's a balance and that balance was not anywhere near being close. "Nobody has complained about our pizzas"-theyve obviously never had camrose pizza, Boston pizza, poppa John's, domino's, pizza hut, literally anywhere else. Told them I was disappointed and why, a whole $3.20 discount 🙄 The veal cutlet was okay, kind of soggy, kind of an oil taste, but could have been worse. The stuffed potato was good, and the vegetables were cooked nicely. So at least it wasn't a complete disappointment. Definitely NOT worth the prices though! This is a business that I will not return to.

This restaurant used to be closed several days a week. They are now open 7 days a week, they have new owners. I had the butter chicken which was by far the best I've ever had! It was so creamy I couldn't get enough. My mother had the chicken parmesan, it was delicious. My dad had the veal cutlet with the choice of gravy, mushroom gravy or alfredo sauce. We also included tea with our meals. I had the chai tea latte which was delicious. Overall the experience at this restaurant has completely changed. They have added more to the menu, the service was great and we all left full and happy. I also took pasta to go because they have a deal on Tuesdays where you buy one pasta and get the other one half off. I can't wait to see how the pasta is. I also get to try their freshly made tomato because it comes with the meals. All the soups and sauces are made from scratch. Highly recommended⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A friend and I, in a spur of the moment decision, stopped in at Monte Carlo restaurant August 4th. From an unassuming but neat and pleasant exterior and entry, we were guided to our table by a welcoming hostess. This is the point anything ordinary about this restaurant ends, with extraordinary rising quickly to the forefront.

The interior is tastefully decorated, creating a comfortable but yet elegant ambiance for dining. An extensive and incredibly varied menu made it difficult to decide on a choice for dinner, with each as tempting and delicious sounding as the other. Prices were more than competitive. In addition there were drink and dessert menus equally as impressive. The meal, tabled very quickly after ordered, did not disappoint, but in fact exceeded in every way its description. Portions were generous, appearance attractive and it was simply delicious. All ingredients were fresh, perfectly cooked and served nice and hot. We chose to have dessert only because of its so tempting description and again were grateful we did.

We will be back and with us will be guests we confidently treat to an exceptional restaurant...
