FIKA Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Camrose

I became obsessed with this place very quickly! From amazing coffee, an incredible calming and welcoming atmosphere and care from baristas that you can tell is special.

I will never stop talking about the atmosphere! Local art on the walls, a calm but colourful interior, comfortable seating, tons of natural light and music that fits a coffeehouse perfectly.

I always come here whether I have piles upon schoolwork or when I want to catch up with friends. This is always my first pick, there's no better place in Camrose!

The service is always consistent with the baristas being incredibly kind and caring. You can tell they care about this place and want the best for their customers.

The best part of the food is that it is different every week! You can't get bored here, ever. I always keep a lookout for what the different grilled cheese and waffle is of the week. By far my favourite is the Green Goddess grilled cheese and whenever the waffles have a fruity topping!

Food/Drinks: really tasty food that's very different. Small menu but a good selection. Great snacking food for when you want to work on something or have a chat with a friend.

Service: very nice people and welcoming feel. The food was a little slow to come out and a little disorganized but it was worth the little delay and they were nice about it. Also seems like they were just getting started so they don't really have a good system yet.

Atmosphere: based out of a house. Lots of windows so lots of light and feels very open. Very excited for when the upstarts is ready to be open as they are set up for private rooms.

I had a disappointing experience at this café. I ordered a latte, and when I politely asked the staff member if it had sugar, she said no. I then asked if she could please add sugar for me. Instead of responding politely, she raised her voice in front of everyone and told me that next time I should order it with sugar because she is busy and has other customers to serve.

This is not the way to treat a customer. I felt disrespected and embarrassed. I also couldn’t help but wonder if her attitude was because I am not white-skinned. Regardless of the reason, all customers deserve to be treated with kindness and professionalism. And on the top of all this the...
