Skyway Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Camrose

Most of our trips to Camrose, include a stop at the Skyway Restaurant. While the building (on 50th Street) looked somewhat tired, the food and service was always very good. Today, we discovered they have moved to a new location (old Pizza Hut), which is a huge improvement. Thankfully, the quality of food and service continues to be excellent. My eyes almost popped, when my Combination plate #2 was brought to the table. The portions in both of our meals were huge. Giving it our best try, neither of us could finish our meals. This was the best Chinese food I think I have ever had. The ginger beef was nice and tender with a light fluffy crunchy coating, it wasn't too spicy. The beef and broccoli was great, most times I can't stand the beef in it, however it was nice big pieces that were tender and tasted fresh. Couldn't go wrong with the chicken fried rice either. It was good warmed up the next day as well! Nothing was too salty, or chewy/tough, it all tasted super fresh. This used to be our go to Chinese food for years. Delicious, fresh and a family meal to look forward too. Unfortunately - we won't order here again. The sweet and sour sauce for the chicken balls was forgotten, the sauce for the almond chicken was almost white, thick like KFC gravy with zero flavor, the ginger beef was drowning in sauce, almost inedible and very very soggy.
