Canadian 2 For 1 Pizza — Restaurant in Castlegar

I attempted to order pizza at 2 pm but was informed they didn't have a delivery driver until 4 pm so I waited and called in my order at 3:55 pm. They indicated a 45-60 minute delivery time. At 5:29 my pizza still had not arrived so I contacted the store and was informed that my pizza had left a "while ago" and should be there any minute. The store is a 5 minute drive away. At 5:55 pm (2 hours after ordering) the delivery driver showed up. I explained that it had been 2 hours since I ordered and asked him if he would mind checking to see if the pizza was still warm. He put his hand in the bag and said "It's all good". I payed the $50 and grabbed my pizzas. I stepped inside and opened the boxes and the pizzas were cold and congealed, as in ice cold. The driver was still out front so I phoned the store and asked them to get the driver to come take them back as I was not interested in waiting 2 hours and paying $50 for cold pizzas. They stated they wouldn't do that but would offer me a $20 credit for next time.

1. The product was not delivered as advertised or paid for
2. $20 does not cover the $50 cost of the product
3. They refused to correct the situation at the time
4. The $20 credit is a wild assumption on their part that I will return my business to them

Terrible product, terrible customer service, and obvious lack of respect for their patrons. This is the basic fundamentals of business. Do your very best to provide the best product and service. When something does go wrong, you address it immediately and do your best to correct the situation. They failed on all aspects. *PS The pizzas are still sitting on the porch by the garbage where...

So, all the young staff are friendly and pleasant, that's why this isn't a 1 star review. However .. Even though I understand that prices are up, and business can be struggling, (and take-out is not something I mind paying a premium for tbh) But when we ordered some pizza and a "tossed Salad", I was not prepared for the level of audacity that this business has to charge $7.99$ for what is essentially a snack-size box, half filled with lettuce as their Tossed Salad. I opened the bag in the car and literally had no words.. My partner took the "salad" back in and was told by who I think is the owner, "that's because costs are up you know.. it's 4$ for lettuce now" , which IMO is already an exaggeration, but even if it were true, you could have made 10 of these "salads" for one head of lettuce anyway. Long story short...There was nothing they were going to do, so we learned our lesson to never go back. You can get 4-5 times the size of this salad, WITH toppings and cheese etc, from Panago for only a couple dollars more. Or from Safeway...

Called for delivery at 6:05pm, said 45 mins, ok no problem..so we wait..1 hour and 20 mins later I call back to find out what’s happened to my order, turns out someone else picked it up? Well it wasn’t me.. The Girl on the phone was blaming a “new girl” but it was the same person on the phone from the original phone call when I placed the order. What a joke, I’m not even from castlegar I’m just visiting, and I have hungry kids that have been waiting for food. Maybe try picking up the phone and informing the customer what’s happened before they have waited over an hour?

Judging from other reviews this isn’t a new occurrence for this establishment, and also sounds like the pizza is NOT good either. Actually glad we didn’t get our pizza now because the Chinese place down the street (Jacky’s) was good and ready in 15 mins! Lots of food for the same price. Hope everyone in Castlegar boycotts this establishment so something better can take its place. I have family very close by and they will not go to this...
