Poké Poki-Chambly — Restaurant in Chambly

Unfortunately, this was not a winner. We ordered a chicken katsu poke bowl, fried gyoza, and several rolls. The gyoza was abysmal and tasteless. This is not that atypical, but there’s usually a sauce provided to make up for that. Sadly, the “sauce” provided by this restaurant is a poor quality soy sauce, and that lack of quality was a consistent theme throughout the meal.

The chicken katsu poke bowl was the best item taste wise, however, it contained no chicken whatsoever. What they tried to pass for chicken katsu was just fried breading, and even that was not provided in great abundance. The two tiny slivers of avocado were not fresh either and were overripe nearing their spoilage point. That said, the combination of rice and the sauces they used did make the whole thing taste pretty good. If you don’t mind the complete lack of protein, and the exorbitant price of $15 for such a bowl, it would be the only thing I can recommend at this restaurant.

The rolls were terrible. The “chicken” katsu roll was so dry it was practically inedible. And the terrible soy sauce provided did not improve it in any way. The “double” salmon roll we ordered turned out to have tuna in the center, and we can’t say if that was a mistake on their part or if this what “double salmon” means at this restaurant.

In summary: if you care about the ingredients that go into making your food, this is NOT the place you want to end up in. If you’re desperate and nothing else is around, the poke bowl is at least edible, but it’s hard to know how long it will keep you full as...

There's finally a good restaurant for sushi and especially for Poke Bowls. Let's not forget their boba which the best in Chambly. I should also say that their sushi is delicious. The rice is just the right flavor and the size just right. I haven't tasted better sushi anywhere else in Chambly. For a takeout restaurant, this is absolutely fantastic. Try their dragon eyes! You won't regret it. I finally don't have to go to Brossard for good...
