I loved the Tartar and Bruschetta, if Anne should imagine appetizers, she couldn’t do...
Read moreWe were drawn in by the special posted outside; scallop carbonara. Warm & friendly welcome, and we were seated immediately without a reservation. Beautiful dining room with intimate & comfortable spaces. Our server was fabulous. Turned out the special wasn't the special, but they offered to make it for me anyway, bonus!
Awesome truffle focaccia with pancetta to start, so tasty. Then my husband's meal comes out and mine doesn't. The food runner is completely unaware, and assumes we're sharing one dish. Turns out a glitch happened with the printer and the kitchen didn't get my order, but they were making it asap. After waiting, I told my husband to go ahead and eat his food. He was finished before mine hit the table. The dish was stunning and almost worth the wait; first bite and the fresh hand-made pasta was undercooked. The sauce and scallops were amazing, and the manager offered to have it remade but I was done. They comped my carbonara.
Overall, I loved this place. Beautiful and simple decor, cozy and refined seating, attentive and engaging staff, and most of the food was delicious and made with care. We will definitely be back to try them again. -1 for the undercooked...
Read moreWas super excited to eat here. I love Italian food and I was so excited that we were getting an Italian place near me. Unfortunately, my experience was lacklustre. Service was decent. Food on the other hand, not so much. The ravioli was such a small portion that even I (someone who gets full VERY fast) left hungry. It tasted bad. The $14 frozen ravioli from boston pizza is better. I did appreciate the variety of both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, though. The one I had was delicious. After dinner, I was very excited to try the tiramisu as it is my favourite dessert at the place I work. I was hoping it would make up for the not so great meal. Boy, was I wrong. I could barely even swallow the first (and only) bite I took. At first I thought it was just me being a picky eater. But I had my entire party try a bite and they all responded with disgusted faces and “ew”. I was so disappointed. I will say that the restaurant and decor is breathtaking. Super nice atmosphere that would be nice if you were just going for some drinks or small apps. Overall, I wouldn’t go back. I wish I could, but for the quality of the food and the price, it’s not...
