We took advantage of the Facebook advertised "Buffet" and made an early reservation for 1730 on Wednesday night. I was pleased to see we were among the first diners in, and for a short while the only ones taking advantage of the buffet. It had a very nice sampling of items that would commonly be ordered off of the menu, but chief among those were Dahl Makhni, Butter Chicken, Saag Paneer, Chicken Biryani and Tandoori Chicken with a variety of sides such as Raita, pakora, mango chutney and more, with Gulab Jamun and what I beleive was Carrot Halwa for dessert. Some of the items seemed to have been made ahead and were not as fresh as I felt they could be, but as more diners arrived, the catering pans were refilled and it improved. I thought the Dahl was bit underspiced, as I was expecting more flavour such as cumin or similar, but it was enjoyable. The Butter chicken was good, as was the saag paneer. The Tandoori chicken might have been a bit over done at the time, but I enjoy it that way, and it was five stars for flavour! Fantastic! My girlfriend enjoyed one of the spicier side dishes, while I had the Mango Chutney. The hottest thing on the menu was the Hot and sweet chicken balls, and I thought they were alright, so if I can handle them, I'd call them a medium heat, (I'm a wimp, I like flavour, not burn). I really enjoyed the Chicken Biryani as well. It really was a fantastic buffet, and I'd happily sample it all again. The Carrot Halwa was a sleeper. I'd not had it before, and quite enjoyed the very mild sweetness and pudding like nature with raisins and cashews added to it, whereas Caroline loved the sweeter Gulab Jamun.

Hey everyone, Me and my partner ordered City Kitchen tonight and we were very upset. We got the chicken chow mein, and the butter chicken nachos. When I opened the nachos I saw a piece of plastic so I pulled it out( first issue.... plastic in food). After pulling it out I realized it was someone's Bandaid, which is obviously concerning. the noodles looked super tasty, but we still couldn't eat them after that incident since it speaks hygienic problems and health and safety concerns. You're supposed to wear a glove when you have a cut and/or bandage on while handling food, which this is proof this person did not. The food is good here, I won't argue with that, but just warning others to cautious and maybe reconsidering ordering food from here, unless they have a visit from the Healthy and safety inspector.

I am a tourist here hence I am writing this review with my onetime experience. Food - food taste was good but the core content was less for example one of our order was garlic shrimp noodles in which we had only 3 shrimps. Similarly we had problems with other dishes. Ambience - could have been better especially the washroom could have been maintained better Service - waitress was polite but they took looooong time to take and serve order. We had to wait for around one hour to get our orders. We were on a time where most of us were hungry and the waiting was so bad. Note: we felt all these happened because they were less in staff since it was a holiday. So this may or may not happen again.

Visiting City Kitchen has left us with unforgettable memories. The delightful dining experience and its warm and attentive service made us fall in love with this place. The menu featured delicious cuisines from all around the globe. The new special item, Jhol Momo was mouthwatering, and so was their unique noodle called Pad-Thai. The dining experience was beyond my expectations. Apart from delicious food and warm welcoming service, their location is also one of their strengths. They are in the heart of Downtown, Charlottetown. Whether for a special occasion or a casual night out, City Kitchen is a must-visit for fantastic food and a charming setting. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a wide variety of international food and a memorable dining experience in Downtown,...
