I had an extremely disappointing experience at bombay Cuisine Charlottetown, and I feel compelled to share it so others can be aware before dining there. My friends and I decided to try this restaurant, drawn in by its appealing ambiance and promising menu. However, what followed was nothing short of a nightmare in terms of hygiene and customer service.
We ordered Afghani Chicken, expecting a flavorful and enjoyable meal. However, midway through eating, we made a shocking and utterly disgusting discovery—there was a hair in our food that was mixed with the gravy. Naturally, we immediately brought this to the staff’s attention, expecting at the very least an apology or some kind of resolution. Unfortunately, the response we received was the complete opposite of what any responsible restaurant should do.
Instead of showing concern and apologizing, the staff dismissed our complaint entirely. Their indifference to such a serious hygiene issue was not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning. A restaurant’s cleanliness and food safety standards should be a top priority, yet it was clear that this establishment did not care at all.
Given the circumstances, we informed them that we could not continue eating the Afghani Chicken and would not be paying for it, as it was completely inedible after such a contamination. Shockingly, instead of acknowledging their fault, they insisted that we still pay for the dish—as if finding a hair in our food was a normal occurrence that should be overlooked! Their lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction made the situation even worse.
At that point, it was evident that this restaurant prioritized money over customer experience and hygiene standards. If this is how they handle such an obvious and serious issue, I can only imagine what happens behind the scenes in their kitchen. This experience left us completely disgusted and disappointed, and I would strongly advise others to stay away from this place.
Do not be deceived by the appearance of the restaurant—just because it looks nice doesn’t mean it upholds even the basic standards of cleanliness and customer service. Save your money and dine somewhere that values its customers and maintains...
Read moreI usually don't reviews,But this Hygiene and Customer service issue needed to be informed other people,
Recently me and my friends, went over this place we order 4 naans, Lamb Kadhai and chicken Curry and Mango lassi, after couple of bites we found a big Hair In the White plain Naan strangled in it, the owners daughter first replaaced the naan when we were upset and the way she reacted as its Normal. And when we are little curious happened, She informed us that this Normal, last time they had a hair in Channa kulcha with a customer, But they were not upset as we are, she also indicate that don't come to our restaurant, and implied that hair in the food is normal .. Usually most of the food places either offer a Gift Cardor or full refund on these kind of incident,
One kitchen staff as well come outside of the kitchen and intimidates us and was yelling that we are not trying to pay the bill, but owner daughter intervene and she went back in the kitchen.
The owner daughter offerus $ 4.00 off the bill, for eating their unhygiene food. It's upto the people to decide to risk their health at this restaurant.
The issue is that the owner daughter was showing no remorse, rather she was pretending that its okay to have hair in the food, we are the one only getting upset and pretending that we don't care go ahead do whatever you want, no sympathy whatsoever.
YES SIR WE RESPECTED AND CONTINUING EATING WE DID NOT CREATE A SCENE , THE ISSUES IS THAT YOU HAVE NO REMORSE,
SO WITH $ 6 or $8 .00 OFF YOU FEEL GOOOD. I UNDERSTAND ANS BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN HAPPENED BEFORE, PREVIOUS TRI0 WITH MY OTHER FRIEND ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT NAUSEA..
I WISH THE ISSUE COULD HAVE BEEN DEALT IN Good Customer service.
Any ways this my...
Read moreOne of the most pathetic experiences of my life!
We called several times to place a take-out/delivery order and no-one answered. Finally we drove to the restaurant, and we got there at 09:33 PM. While the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, there wasn’t anyone at the reception - a group of people waiting to have a table to dine-in who were promised a wait time of 10 minutes, and then asked to wait for another 15 minutes - finally they got tired and left.
We were still waiting for more than 10 mins just to hear from the person that they won’t take any more take-out orders.
While we waited there for more than 15-17 minutes, more than 5 tables were empty waiting to be served - with not even water on the table. Just one person running around the restaurant probably to manage everything.
Being a chef myself for more than 6 years now, the management was more than piteous. Looking at the things, let aside the food, would never drop-in or recommended it to anyone!
Been to more than a thousand places and nobody has denied taking an order after waiting for 15-17 mins! We have entertained guests last minute as well as a restaurant - it is a service-based hospitality industry.
I wish I could give a...
