In a nut shell, good food but a bit for *pub* food.... I had the ribs ("12 hours smoked pork ribs served with fries and coleslaw"), for $22, and my girlfriend had the Pulled Pork Nachos ($26). Both dishes tasted good. We had club soda to drink, and didn't get anything alcoholic. As far as I'm concerned, one reason was the unusually high prices: the least expensive 5% beer started at $8 for a "regular" size drink (presumably a pint?) all the way up to $9.75 for a glass of McKeown Cider (you will find it on the seasonal Beers page. A number of other beers were in the $9.50/glass range which in my humble opinion, is excessive. This is Chelsea at the end so maybe this is to be expected in the peak season. Additional notes: serving staff was no wearing masks which was rather peculiar. We asked and apparently the hot temperatures outside made wearing them "uncomfortable". We thought being outside on the patio was the reason but even inside the actual building no face masks were to be seen. Not exactly setting the example here. Outside of this, my club soda became a Tonic water on a refill, and mayo was served with the nachos instead of sure cream. No biggie but this probably can be associated to a very, very young and likely inexperienced staff. Can't blame the restaurant, they are probably struggling quite a bit to find staff these days. Its in the heart of Chelsey so quite a bit of traffic (and associated noise) to be expected if you're eating on the patio. Good venue but a bit expensive for pub food at the end.

Where to start... well, let's get the good points up front. 1. Nice atmosphere. Clean place, friendly staff, not overly loud like other pubs. 2. Service was fast and efficient. Now, those things are very important for a great dining experience, but I still gave this place 1 star because the food was that disappointing. I had the beef tacos. These are very basic, a skimpy spinkle of pulled brisket. If it was smoked, they forgot the smoke... you see them in the photo, thin pathetic greassy folder tortilla. They could have done something special. Adds some house coleslaw, a dressing or BBQ sauce, anything to elevate this to something remotely close to the near $30 price tag. Yeah, $30 for that! The fries were not seasoned, and had they been any shorter, it would have been a plate of hash browns. Ketchup could not save those tiny flavorless spuds. Oh, it gets better. My daughter ordered spaghetti. Pasta is her life. She eats the stuff daily. But this pasta... she pushed it aside and asked for McDouble on the way home. Another $24 flushed. The spaghetti was absolutely drowned in olive oil. Of course, olive oil is a tasty treat in and of itself, but not this time. They dumped so much garlic in this pasta that it was like eating Lebanese garlic sauce by the spoon full. There was no other distinguishable flavor. The Prosciutto was wasted. You couldn't even taste it. I must admit, my wife had the pulled Pork sandwich and she very much enjoyed it. So, if you go and are lucky enough yo order a good menu item, you will probably have a great dining experience. But for me, 2 of 3 dishes failed. I won't go back. Oh, FYI, They are a brew pub with their own beer on tap. The first one I ordered was out. The second one I ordered was out. The third was in... it was nothing special, just another beer.

The venue is great, however the food I ordered was really tasteless, I ordered butter chicken, and in all honestly you can get a better butter chicken in those food courts in the mall, that sell it for much cheaper. Not to mention it came out warm as if it was simply microwaved (assumption). I did complain about the tasteless butter chicken and was told it supposed to be mild curry, but in my opinion, it doesn't have to be spicy to have taste to it. My wife ordered pork salad and again, for that price I would expect pork to be freshly cooked, chopped and tossed with the salad, in our case it looked like pork was prepped a while ago. I had booked this place for my b-day, but after this I'm definitely cancelling my booking. Little tip of advice, if you can't make it well, don't put it on the menu, I suppose burger would have been a better option as I had that before and had no complaints, but this time we tried your other offerings. Lastly I do agree with someone else who said that some chairs are super uncomfortable on the patio, my wife got one that was okay, but mine happen to be really uncomfy, and that just added to overall bad experience, not sure if this intentional to make ppl leave sooner.

The food was good, but the service was not up to par. When we tried to order drinks and food separately, the waitress insisted that we had to order them together, which seemed odd. Then, when my friends wanted to order two pitchers, she got confused about who would be drinking from them. We had to explain it multiple times, and she complained that it was hard to keep track of orders from a large group. When it came time to pay, the bills were mixed up, and the prices of the pitchers weren't split correctly among the people who ordered them. The waitress didn't seem to care much and just said, "Hope it's ok." The worst part was when one of my friends asked for a receipt, and the waitress made a rude comment, saying she had never seen someone younger than 60 ask for a receipt. We were really disappointed with her attitude. On top of that, the restaurant was crowded with chairs, and the space felt cramped. It seemed like they were more focused on filling the place with customers than making sure everyone was comfortable. Overall, while the food was tasty, the service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. I probably won't be returning anytime soon.

We always drive right through Chelsea to get to Gatineau Park. It's small and usually on weekends it's crazy busy! For good reason though. The Chelsea pub is usually jam packed with guests. At least that's the look from the outside. Today was different, my girlfriend and I drove to Chelsea to take some pictures. We decided to stop into the Chelsea Pub for lunch as it was not busy. We walked in, greeted and sat right away. Perfect! Our waitress brought us water as we browsed the menu. We both decided on the Wicked burger (mine sans mushrooms) with a side of fries. The burgers are topped with bacon, onion rings, house made BBQ sauce, greens all on a fresh brioche bun with what I can only guess is cheese baked right onto it. The burgers came within 15 min which was awesome. We crushed the burgers even though they where massive! Everything was fantastic, we regret all other times not stopping in Chelsea. We will refrain from doing so in the future. Stop In get a burger enjoy the Pub it's well decorated, I'm sure when it's packed at night with the fire going it's very cozy!

We decided to stop in here after our walk to wind down. Staff was friendly and we were seated quickly but parking was a little tricky as I did not want to take the chance of parking out front of the business next door as there was a 15 minute limit. I ordered a cider they had on two but not sure what it was because the menu just said “cider“ and my company ordered two of their blond beers. My company ordered 6 of their bbq wings which were underwhelming but still had a decent amount of meat on them. I ordered the “Chelsea Burger original” and was thinking about getting a poutine (glad I didn’t). The burger itself was cooked well but the bun was over toasted and on the hard side and the fries were in the dry side with some of them coming up undercooked and if they cook their fries the same way for poutine I would have sent it back for sure and been turned off. Not sure if I would return but maybe if their quality increases and I see a large amount of good reviews I would consider it.
