I’ll start by saying that there is a real lack of service with the franchise restaurants in Chestermere. No idea what the deal is, as you usually get better service in a small town…
I called to place an order and was put on hold for 5 mins, so I hung up and placed an order online instead. I was told my order would be ready at 7:02. I showed up to pick up my order to find 5 people standing in the entrance, while a staff member was on the phone for a while. After the staff got off the phone, she called on people out of the order they arrived, then disappeared for a while into the kitchen and took another phone call.
I counted 8-9 staff walking around with 8-9 tables empty in the dining area and it didn’t appear that the staff were checking the front of house regularly, to seat people or provide pickup orders. A few people waiting next to me rolled their eyes at the lack of service and ended up seating themselves. I finally left with my order after standing around for 15-20 minutes, past when my food was supposed to be ready at 7:28pm. The server apologized, but it appeared that they might have forgotten to make my food.
From other reviews I’ve read it appears that service is often slow, even though the restaurant isn’t close to being full. Perhaps they need more experienced staff? Food was decent, which is why I’m not giving one star. Hopefully they’ll redeem themselves...
Read moreWent to the Chestermere location for Father's Day lunch and I was told by the hostess that it was an automatic 18% gratuity because we were 8 people (6 adults and 2 kids) which I was fine with. The place wasn't too busy at the time (4 tables were occupied on the patio and 3 more inside) so we got a table right away. We got there at 1:00 and the server asked for our drink order. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. She got our food order and that was another 40 minutes. I just assumed they didn't have many people working in the kitchen so was fine waiting. She dropped off most of the food and we were still waiting for my dad's order. When she came back around 10 minutes later with his food, my brother asked for ketchup and she said she was getting it right away. After 10 minutes of waiting, my sister-in-law went to the kitchen to get it for him. She said that they weren't short staffed in the kitchen but just hanging out and talking. I don't think the automatic 18% gratuity should be applied if people are going to give you crappy service. She never came around to ask if we wanted refills and other tables had to flag her down when she walked out of the kitchen to get whatever they needed. We all agreed that we will take our business elsewhere from now on. There are other great restaurants across the street that have way better service...
Read moreFirst and last visit to this location. Saturday night just after six and the restaurant was about 2/3 full. We were seated promptly. We hadn’t even opened the menu and server came to take our drink order and asked if we were ready to older. I think Kiera must’ve been new, when we asked to start with cactus fries, and then a pizza I thought she understood the fries were the starter. After a lengthy wait she came to say that they accidentally gave our pizza to another table. It was then that I reminded her we were still waiting for the starter. I believe it was manager that eventually brought them. They certainly weren’t crisp as if they had been sitting for a while. We no sooner started to eat them and the server came with the pizza. And by the time we finished the starter the pizza was cold. The pizza certainly wasn’t as good as it used to be. We felt it was pointless to complain because it wasn’t going to change the outcome.
