The food was amazing, I highly recommend the Hawaiian chicken burger! My main issue was how the manager was interacting with his employees. He would yell at them through the window and at one point went into the kitchen to lay into the employees about how they can do better and to get it right the first time. I've been there twice and both times I noticed people eating there were getting uncomfortable simply from overhearing how the manager was addressing his employees. You get more with honey than you do vinegar, if you want your employees to do well then maybe you shouldn't yell at them and make them feel horrible as they will mess up even more. It's a new place so there will be hiccups however yelling at your employees and bringing them down will not make them do better at their job. Decided to come try out boardwalk chilliwack. Was so excited after looking at the menu. Ordered our food and sat down to wait. Seen our burgers come up and watched the burgers sit there for almost 10 minutes while waiting for the rest of the food to come out. Decided to go up and ask for the food since it was just sitting there getting cold. Which he then told me no we have a heater don’t worry. Well finally gave us our food that was sitting forever and my burger was cold plus had tomato’s on it when I asked for no tomato’s. My husband liked his burger and the kids chicken strips were good too. The fries not so much. Under cooked and cold. We ordered the chilli cheese fries and beef bacon with chipotle…. I came here only because the reviews were amazing, 4.7 stars and “the best burger place in town.” Sadly, it turned out to be a disappointment.

On the positive side: the place is nice and clean, the staff are friendly, and the interior is pleasant. The burger itself was actually good juicy and flavorful.

But the sides… a letdown. The onion rings and their “famous potatoes” that they advertise everywhere were absolutely awful. The potatoes looked nothing like the photos, over-fried, dark brown instead of golden, and tasting bitter. Same with the onion rings. It honestly felt like the oil hadn’t been changed in ages. that heavy, greasy, recycled taste you can’t miss.

We also tried the parmesan grilled potato with garlic, but the garlic sauce tasted store-bought and cheap, not fresh at all.
