My friends and I went in to do the FNAF escape room. One of the employees gave us some information regarding the room and read a prologue to us. It seemed like the employees just really didn't want to be there as we got zero enthusiasm or excitement out of them. Definitely put a damper on things. The actual room was nicely decorated but certainly wasn't amazing. The puzzles were all way too simple. Basically your simple "collect this piece then put it here to get the next piece" puzzle. Not to mention one of the first puzzles involves a real kitchen knife! If you have children going in there, it is incredibly unsafe for them. Some more thought should have been put into this as Five Night's at Freddy's is geared towards children.
What frustrated myself and the others I was with was that two of the puzzles just did not work for us. One where a magnet was involved and you essentially had to fish for the key. The magnet was not sticking to the key properly and we thought we were doing the puzzle wrong because of it. The second was when you put an item on a pedestal and a box drops down with another item inside. The box would not drop down and we eventually had to call an employee for help. The employee came in and rattled the box over and over then finally got it to come loose. This escape room had a lot to do with sensors and putting pieces in certain places but it lead to a lot of technical problems.
Even after the technical issues, we managed to finish the room in 33 minutes out of an allotted 50. Looking at the board afterwards, it seems like most teams were able to do it around the 20 minute mark. Which to me, doesn't seem worth it. It should be more challenging. The employees said basically nothing to us when we came out of the room. We were told to mark our escape on the chalk board and that was about it. Nothing was said to us about the pictures you can take afterwards where they have signs to hold up. There was no "good job" or any type of epilogue. It felt so unrewarding to actually escape.
This Exit location seems to have employees that really don't care about the guests' experience and for $30 a person, I would expect a lot more. I would value the experience I had at $10 a person. I had been to Exit previously at the Calgary location and it was a fantastic experience there. This Chilliwack one needs some major...
Read moreWe meaning 4 of us went to the Exit Escape Room on Sunday August 4,2019 1pm time slot and we were instantly welcomed at the front desk. Unfortunately there interact was down. If we had paid attention to my phone I would have noticed that Exit did there due diligence by texting and emailing that there system was down. Isn't that nice of them how cool is that to get information about what is going on!! That is very thoughtful of them. Cool makes me want to go back again..

Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the whole experience. I went in with 3 other people to the Rivia room and we ran out of time because the escape room is defective. We poured the water in the pot and nothing happened. We were stumped on what to do next and ended up running out of time. We exited the room when the time went out and were greeted by the employees seeming uninterested. We then asked what happened, what did we do wrong, were we supposed to pour the water in the pot? The employee led us into the room and said âyou did the right thing by pouring the water in the pot. It was then supposed to trigger these lasers so you could figure out that puzzle. Recently we have noticed the censor in the pot sometimes works and sometimes doesnât.â So this escape room lets you pay $30 per person for the room to sometimes work, but not all the time⌠The employees seemed extremely unhelpful, did not offer us more time, our money back, or anything. We had to ask if we could have more time and she said yes, but that was after we mentioned how unfair it is to let us play the room that you know doesnât work and not inform us? The employee actually said the words yeah it is unfair that it doesnât work!! If you value your money, do...
