We were in the restaurant today. We have been to Cora's in Abbotsford and Langley plenty of times before and did not have an experience as we did today. I actually feel really terribly sorry for the staff. I have to say we were very patient and understanding. The waitress was extremely apologetic over and over again. I actually think she apologized 8 times. Being a past waitress as well, I just wanted to jump in and help. I was feeling so overwhelmed for them. If they just had some direction they could have made it smoother for everyone. You can tell who the experienced and trained staff are. They should have had 1 of each row had someone taking orders. One cleaning up. And one or two serving food at all times. Instead they mostly had one waitress taking orders and the rest were shuffling around. The bus person took a while to clear the tables. There was a point where there was 3 people taking drink orders. Then they go get the drinks, then it took at least 20 mins for someone else to walk around to take food orders. We walked in around 12:30pm. GOOD thing we had time on our hands. Even with customers being told they are understaffed and it could take longer to get served. Including us. Which, shame on the management. There should have been way more direction. It should have been half the seating opened, so at the least the customers know the wait time upfront, and those sitting could have had a better experience all around. It was packed seating today. Being in management myself, I would have been there to help my staff, period. Its not on the customers to understand why they are understaffed and slow. That's on management. The poor staff was so overwhelmed, they literally looked like they had no direction. Only one waitress was delegating, the hostess was having little conversations with the buss person and another staff member trying to organize things, while the one waitress is also delegating to that same staff. One point there was a couple of gentlemen that were waiting 15mins to pay for their order at the front. No one was there. 3 staff walked by them and said nothing. It took 20mins for anyone to offer us drinks. And that consisted of the waitress already had 2 coffee cups in hand and asked if we ordered coffee? I said sure I will have some please and he would like orange juice. After 3 more tables that came in after us had drink orders taken. 5 tables were served food before us. And 45mins went by then the waitress came to our table and apologized and asked us what we ordered again. We then said Gigi and Blueberry pancakes. She said I'll be sure to get that out to you as fast as we can. I am not sure what happened to your order. Other customers actually complained about us being served last. We had one staff member come up to us as ask us if we wanted help. We were so confused because we already has drink and food orders taken. She said you just looked like you were wanting help. We were like nope. No refills were asked about. We actually had to ask for refills after waving one of the staff down. The food was not up to Cora's normal standards. They forgot the toast with the Gigi order and the omelet was then, watery and cold. The pancakes were not as big as in the past and orange juice was 3/4 full. Again not what we are used to. I am not blaming the staff 100%. They absolutely did the best they could with what they had. It literally looked like one person knew what had to be done and was trying her best to make sure everyone was happy. They were hustling the best they could. There needs to be better training all around. After reading so many other reviews I am so surprised that nothing has been fixed yet. Langley location so far has the best staff and...

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. When we arrived there was only 1 table seated and we were seated at the opposite end of the restaurant. However 2 more tables came in after that and were all seated right around us even though the rest of the restaurant was empty. When I say around us, I mean back to back with us and to the side of us.
Now on to the service, our waitress was very polite but seemed frazzled by having to wait on 4 tables as we watched our food sit under the heat lamps, waiting to be brought to our tables for almost 10 minutes before she realized it and made our toast to go with our meals. The second waitress even went up, looked at our food, then went and cleaned a table rather than bring our food.
When it came to the food, first off, my wife became extremely sick before she was even done eating and spent the rest of the day throwing up. The food itself was mediocre at best and not worth what we paid for it. One person in our party also ordered an omelette that came to the table flat on the plate and appeared as though the cook had never made an omelette. He simply scrambled some eggs in a pan and put the ingredients in it the threw it on a plate. We were also disgusted that the one cook wore his mask under his nose and by the time we left it was almost down to his chin. The cooks also had music blaring in the kitchen the was as loud as what was playing in the restaurant which was very distracting. I will say the second cook however looked like he knew what he was doing and was always busy making food.
I've been to Cora in Langley and really enjoyed it, but I will never be back to this location in Chilliwack after this visit.
UPDATE turns out we got food poisoning from here, contacted Cora's to complain, never heard back. Great...

Upon being seated, we were immediately attended to by the lovely Natasha, who exuded kindness and hospitality from the get-go. Despite it being my very first visit to a Cora restaurant, Natasha made me feel right at home with her genuine warmth and attentiveness. She took our orders with a smile, and to our pleasant surprise, our food arrived with impressive speed.
Speaking of the food, each dish was a masterpiece in itself. The fresh fruits were not just sliced, but meticulously cut and presented with care, adding a burst of color and flavor to our plates. Every bite of our meals was a culinary delight, with each ingredient shining through in its freshness and quality.
But what truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service we received. Natasha didn't just serve us food; she made us feel cared for and loved, as if we were cherished guests in her own home. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality in a restaurant setting, but Cora managed to capture that feeling effortlessly.
In the end, dining at Cora felt more like a heartwarming gathering with loved ones than a typical restaurant experience. It's a place where great food and even greater company come together to create memories that linger long after the last bite is taken. And just like a great massage, it leaves you feeling rejuvenated and...
