It's annoying that this location will put more focus on mobile orders rather than people who are waiting in line. If I've been waiting 20 minutes for the 4 people ahead of me to be served because the person is spending more time doing mobile orders, then yes, when I finally get a chance to order only to watch the person make another pot of coffee and then grab a long receipt from the mobile orders and tell me it will be one moment, then I do get upset and walk out. People who actually enter the building prior to 8 are probably doing so with the intentions of getting their order and being able to get to work on time. There needs to be someone dedicated to the mobile orders and someone dedicated to the front cash. I understand that we are in a society where we are trying to get rid of front cash positions with self serve kiosks and mobile apps, but when customer service is sacrificed just to accomplish that, it's gross.
Edit (Additional Feedback as requested): This happens almost every time I go into this location. There is often a lineup, and people that come in after us can use the kiosk and get their orders in higher priority than those in line. That's fine if you want the basic menu, any changed though requires a real person to speak to, and it's being made more and more obvious that the intention is to do away with having to staff the front counter. Furthermore, since you asked. The lady that is at the drive through window is often sour towards the customers and doesn't listen to them, only repeats the same thing "Paying debit or cash?" regardless of what you say, she will try to hand out the debit machine. Many times she's distracted by conversations inside and will end up holding your order just out of reach until she realizes she hasn't actually handed it to you. It takes approximately 6 minutes to get to Blackfalds from Lacombe, it's worth every minute to go there rather than...
Read moreI went in the morning at around 9am. The place inside only had 7 clients. This client had ordered a meal with a large coffee. The cashier did not understand and charged him for a small. Instead of just handing him a large coffee, to serve others faster, they argued over and over. Finally, the manager comes with a rude and blunt attitude. Tells him she will reimburse the entire order and do it all over with a large coffee. I get it, it is the right way to do it. However, she was not polite or agreeable. She was dry and rude as whenever they make a mistake and have to fix it making the clients feel like it is their fault. This could have been easily solved by just giving him a large coffee. Then came my coffee, amongst 3 other coffees all with the label turned toward the kitchen not the customers. A man beside me touched every coffee to see which one was his. I asked to talk to the manager. The cashier says "yes"...but does not go get her. He barely acknowledges me. She comes to bring the other client his meal (with a huge attitude). I asked her if she is the manager, and tell her that there is no one here, there was no reason to take so long with a client over a coffee. They could have solve this by just giving him a coffee and serve the other customers. I explained that the cashier called the orders very quietly and there was no way we could tell which order was which without touching them all. That she served those 2 other customers with rudeness and it was not necessary. She tells me to stop yelling, that it is rude. I was not yelling, I am loud naturally but was surely not yelling. Anyways, I tried over and over to give this place a chance cause there are good workers, but they need more staff, and they need some kind of course on...
Read moreNormally I have experienced good service there but the past few months have been far less than exceptional. Today I ordered a Apple Cinnamon Fog and received a London Fog. I tried to tell them that this was not what I ordered but the employee just walked away. Of course, I still drank it but it was not what I ordered. Yesterday I tried to order the Apple Cinnamon Fog (it is really delicious, I would recommend trying it) and the employee told me they do not make those. It is on the menu!! Even if it wasn't I don't see why they couldn't swap out the earl grey tea bags for a different flavour. The person in front of me had ordered a sandwich on white bread and was told AFTER he ordered it, they were sold out of white and had to have multigrain. I ordered potato wedges and was also told AFTER I ordered they were also sold out of those. I don't understand why they couldn't have told their cashiers that they were sold out of them?? The lady behind me ordered a steeped tea and was given a coffee. The list continues. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and was given a dry, dense, cheese bagel with literally an inch of cream cheese on half of it, none on the other side. How is this even food? Overall I am very disappointed with this store that was once better. At this point it doesn't seem like simple mistakes anymore, but rather employee negligence and dismissal of consumer satisfaction. I would not recommend taking your business here and would recommend taking your money to a locally owned coffee shop/restaurant instead. At least local business owners take pride in their business and keep their...
