My family and I came into the store at about 9:00pm, we were the only ones there. We ordered 6 burger combo, fries drink and all, they had a crew of 4 including the manager. They took 25-30 minutes to complete this order all while we can see drive thru cars being served, about 4-6 cars passed us as we waited that time. The crew including the manager were all doing the pre-close cleaning, which isn’t a problem if anyone was consistently working on our order. Our food was bagged, left on the counter outside of the warmer, for the a span of 25-30 minutes while they slowly made the order up. By the time we got to eat, half the burgers were cold. There were no markings as to which burger was which (burger type ie if it was a baconator, son of baconator, or something else), which burgers had extra ingredients/less ingredients. One burger was also made wrong, which they corrected, but of course took no less than 5 minutes to make, had to walk over to the counter to tell them the burger had been sitting there since I last looked up.
We also were told to leave at 10 after, as the dine-in portion closed at 10pm. We arrived at 9 and we would have been gone by then if the food came any faster. I worked as a fast food manager for years and we never pushed customers out after the dine-in closed, especially if it was a negligible time like 10 minutes, we would have our crew just work on cleaning/closing other corners of the front lobby instead if that’s what they were concerned about. The bathrooms were absolutely terrible, the first one was clogged and full. The second one seemed like it hasn’t been cleaned for the evening, which was the better of the two.
Haven’t been to a Wendy’s in a while and it was crazy to see that this specific store was like this coming from a customer perspective and from a former fast food...

Bought dinner last night, after I arrived to the window and paid everything went down hill. Proceeded to ask for a drink tray multiple times to which I was ignored and then gave up and found multiple “cup holders” in my car. After about about 5 minutes I was handed 1 bag of food and asked to go park for 5 minutes. The young lady at the window was very nice but once I asked what I was still waiting on in hopes to maybe cancel it before they made it the “manager” came over and rudely told me I was waiting on fries and burgers so to please move it will be around a 5 minute wait. I then asked why they would give me half my order to sit and get cold while i wait. I asked if they could at-least take it and put it on the warming tray so it’s not completely cold by the time everything else is ready. The manager was rude and pulled the food back aggressively and told me to move.
I parked and waited roughly 5 minutes to which everything was brought out by an extremely apologetic young lady.
Proceeded to drive 5 minutes to my destination, the food was not edible. Was crushed flat and everything was ice cold, burger patty could have been used as hockey pucks. Everything was thrown out, so glad to see I waited 20minutes for old, ice cold food.
Another example of something new opening in Lacombe being decent for a month and then quality going straight...
Read moreI was at Wendys in Lacombe Ab. Today. Ordered a baked potato and a junior burger. And an iced tea. I am Diabetic. I can only have the Fuze iced tea. They didnt have any. I talked to a mgr. And she said they havent had any there for 5 months. So, i asked for my money back for the drink. I was given the money back. Then I asked for the medium cup so I could have some water, since they didnt have any other kind of drink that is safe for me. She took the medium cup and offered me a cup that was a child size for water. I said I wanted the medium cup because i was thirsty. I had to pay .30 cents for the medium cup, that they would have thrown out, anyway. After all that stupidity, my meal was cold. I ate the baked potato and ended up throwing out the Junior burger. I lost my appetite at that point. That was the stupidest way of dealing with that situation I have ever seen. The mgr. Should be retrained or at least be able to give a free medium cup to a customer because they are diabetic. The only choice left for me was water. Next time I willl choose Tim Hortons, or KFC. Wendys is one of my go to fast food food places, but it will be in Red Deer. I doubt the staff even know what...
