Edo Japan — Restaurant in City of Leduc

The last three times I have gone to this edo I have had a really dissappointing experience. First, we went in to get take out and spent an hour sitting in the restaurant waiting for our food with only 2 other customers there. They deleted our order from theyr screen and forgot about it for half an hour. When we asked about our food they asked us what we ordered and only started making it then. The cashier came out to ask to see the reciept 2 more times after this even walking away with my reciept at one point and I had to go ask for it back so I could prove we dis in fact order food that we had yet to recieve. The second time, I recieved my food in a timely manner but was handed an entirely different order when he called my number. This last time isn't nearly as big of a deal but I am just so frustrated and dissapointed that I can't order from this location without something being wrong. No sauce for my tempura. A small infraction but the straw that broke the camels back all the same. I am greatly hoping the new Edo location is run by diffetent owners with higher standards of training and service when it opens. Edit- wow! Upon looking at my sushi I see that they also failed to put wasabi in the container and there isnt even any soy sauce in the bag or napkins or anything else. Severely...

I was deeply disappointed with my experience here as I am a die hard fan of EdoJapan. I ordered a bento box (teriyaki chicken with a double order of shrimp) online and had it paid for as I was in a bit of a rush. When I got my food and got back to my car I found it was an extremely small portion, not what it usually is and because it was so small the entire meal was swimming in sauce instead of having it be enough to pretty much coat the rice and that’s it. I went back in to enquire why it was so small and was told it was a normal portion. I said it definitely wasn’t as it didn’t even fill the half side of the to-go container it comes in but the staff insisted it was normal. Not wanting to fight and having other things to get to, I left and came home. I pulled out my own scale and the entire meal, including the side of shrimp and container came out to 8.4 oz. I called the other location in town to enquire about their standard portion sizes and was told that the specs are 7 oz rice, and then chicken and veg. Clearly this indicates that my portion was NOT to spec. When I am spending $17+tax for a lunch I expect to be full. Instead I’m left hangry and doubting if I’ll return to this location. My step son and I go here every now and then, and always have great food, and most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Today we went there for the first time since they re-opened the dining room. The people to the left of us complained there was something splattered on the table and seat, I thought it was just a mess from someone else.

When we went to sit down, same thing! I mentioned to the staff our table and seats had something splattered on them, and the supervisor said "oh it's the sanitizer", and handed me some paper towel to wipe it myself.. When the third table had people about to sit they were also like what is that, so I explained, and took a picture of it.

The supervisor came over and wiped theirs and explained its necessary for health reasons with concerns of the Covid-19. Which yes, that IS why tables and chairs should be sanitized, but not glorps of splatter you can't sit on or eat off of, it should be wiped down properly with sanitizing solution spread around to clean all surfaces. I was not very impressed. I will say that when we were done I heard the supervisor on the phone with someone, saying someone had taken a picture of it. So hopefully they learn how to properly disinfect...
