Huge rant goes out to Tim Horton's sparrow crescent My 15 year old son who has been looking for his first job for the last couple months got an interview with the hiring manager there, he got home we were excited to ask how his first interview went . He told us it seemed to go well but the hiring manager who is a woman of color told him they don't have any Caucasians that work there, and my son said oh (he was a little caught off guard like what do you say) ,The manager then looks at the staff and chuckles and says no. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever interview a person of color and say we don't have anyone of color working here. So my son was told that he would find out if he got the job by Wednesday or Thursday so we waited, even though I wanted to go there the next day to tell them how wrong that was, but my wife and son didn't want me to screw up the opportunity for him to potentially get the job. Wednesday and Thursday came and gone and no phone call. My wife and I went in to talk to the manager to tell her how wrong it was for her speak about skin color and laugh about it in an interview. We sat down with her at the tables, we asked her if it was true she said yes she was a little defensive at first but not overly. We explained how wrong it is to bring up skin color in an interview she agreed she made a mistake. We sat with her for 10 min, at the end I said I thank you for your apology ,but we are still going to reach out to Tim Horton's head office about this. She says well he got the job, I called him yesterday and spoke to him on the phone, we are like no you didn't. She proceeds to say, yes I spoke with him told him he got the job and he said thanks and she said she was going to send him videos, etc. My wife then told her that our son uses her phone number on his resume as he doesn't have his own phone number right now as that was the whole point to him getting him a job to teach him to work for something to get a phone plan. My wife showed her our call log and there was no phone calls so we left it like that . Later that day we got a call from the general manager of that tim hortons. I guess she told the general manager what was going on. She was apologizing for her saying she is a new manager and she shouldn't of said those things. We told her that we thanked her for the apology but the manager lied right to our face trying to cover her butt saying she called our son and that he had got the job. The general manager said I understand but we did talk about hiring him and wanted to. We declined that as we don't want it to be awkward for him at that job now. Anyways huge rant over. This is 2024, skin color, gender, religion aren't suppose to be a thing now a days and should never be brought up in a job...
Read moreI have been to the store in leduc sparrow crescent around 1 :30 pm I ordered one double double and one latais medium plus 2 red paper & Swiss . chrissie attended to my order and I must say I was extremely unhappy with her way in handling met order First there was a 7 years old boy standing there not going forward in line and asked me to go with my order before him as he was waiting for his mother ,when I went ahead of him told me I need to stay in line after the boy which I told her he allowed me to go ahead of him she then asked the boy if he did so or not in a loudly manner which the boy confirmed he did I felt so embarrassed as I was not dealt with respect and as I was not believed by her. Secondly I asked if I can have my medium double double in a large cup instead of a medium one she answered in a rude manner saying you need to pay 20 cents for that and at this moment I was shocked and surprised,I said this is the first time to be asked to pay for that her reply was ,this company rules and if I wish I can complain to customer service department.!!?? I agreed to pay the 20 cent and asked her to give me her name as she had no name tag and she had her personal mobile phone in her upper pocket of her tools shirt hiding anything could be possibly written behind it!! Or I believe she had no name tag at all!!? I asked her to spell her name out for me which she did twice in a very fast manner and I couldn’t write her name, I asked her to either write down or slowly spell,,she refused and said I won’t give you my name I already said it twice!!? and left me till another service girl came and gave me the large cup.
I left and went to my table and I can hear her speaking loudly saying no one is going to ruins my day talking to another customer laterally complaining about me !!!! To a customer!!!!!!?? I was again embarrassed and sad !!? at the end I went and I paid the 20 cent to another server I am so devastated and disappointed by the way I was treated by her I have never experienced such horrible treatment in any tim Horton store in my life I was always felt welcome and dealt with extreme kindness
After I received your reply to contact customer service and fill in a form I believe if you are really serious and honest in your reply you should be the one to fill in the form or ask your customers service to contact me instead of me replying and exhausting my efforts in finding out how to do that Last but not least please note I have already done that yesterday and filled a complaint via your app to customer service and I received a confirmation that my fill it was successful so it’s now in the hands of your customer service maybe you need to follow up with them and confirm...
Read moreTim Hortons still allow customers to order breakfast menu, as usual i ordered the combo using my app, then i went to the drive thru, i couldn’t hear what the person is saying due to the wind plus she was talking order like she’s saying some secret. I told her I couldn’t hear what she saying, she literally yelled at me saying go to the window. I asked the person on the window as who was the one taking order, she said this girl, which was an indian girl, nothing wrong with that but her attitude is the issue. I told the girl at the window to let her know to talk to the customer properly and not yell at them, even to talk loud because i couldn’t hear anything, same with others. Anyway i did the mobile order at 3.55pm went to the window by at least 4pm. They told me they have to deep fry new hash browns and will take time, i said fine, but they let me wait outside for another 15 minutes, i also worked in restaurants and even fries won’t take past 6 minutes. Looks like made me wait intentionally for speaking up for her being rude, and i feel so bad that I go to this location every single day and this is what i get🤷♂️.
