Share the details of my experience at the Saigon Noodle House... Where do I start??!?!? Typically when one leaves a restaurant with a bad taste in their mouth... Nothing good seems to follow are far as reviews are concerned!!! But in the interest of my fellows... Please continue to read on and maybe you may want to reconsider your choice of cuisine, particularly at this venue. To truly begin, let's get the positives sorted out. The cold can of Coca-Cola was really delicious!!! My co-worker actually enjoyed his Heiniken too!!! That's about all that kept me from dine'n'dashing from one of the worst dishes of my entire adult life. What adds even further insult to injury is that our server highly recommended it, the Chicken Stir Fry with Egg Noodles. Don't get me wrong, upon seeing the selection, paired with the praise from our waitress, I couldn't wait to dig in!!! What I ended up hurling out was something I can only describe as the stuff you scoop out of the bottom of the compost behind the all you can eat chinese buffet. Truly horrid, I tell you with all sincerity. After one excruciating mouthful, I now knew what my dog must feel like when I mix wet food in with his kibble!!! I'm sorry, King, I'll never do that to you again!!! Looking back in hindsight, I guess my first clue would've been when I vaguely noticed that the entire kitchen staff appeared to be of Filipino descent. Odd, considering Saigon is a city in Southern Vietnam. To the owners I say, "Doh mah!" I wouldn't expect your kitchen crew to know what I mean by that, since they don't even originate from that part of the asian continent. But I think they get the hint!! The icing on this decrepit, mouldy cake is that they still expected me to pay for the meal I sent back. Patience & Tolerance is my code and I happily obliged, knowing full well that they would be hearing from me again!!!! One Star for the beverages they selected to serve their customers!!!!
PS... My co-worker's dish didn't fair any better... His deep fried chicken happened to bathe a tad bit too long. Enough...
Read moreWent in almost all tables were dirty, had to ask if we can sit down, waited.. waited then I finally called the lady and said, "Do we order here or need to go up?" She said no we have menus.. Amazing simple rice does not come with the meals, however we ordered, then saw a couple guys from Fatburger come over and looked like special treatment, served right away but the fellow, and ofc watched them get their meals before ours as well. Ours finally did come, and not once after 8 times the lady by passed us, did she ever ask if everything was okay or need anything. When it came time to pay the bill after waiting another 15 minutes I finally said to the other lady, " Where do we pay? Here , upfront , where? And your service here sucks. Finally after another 5 minutes as if it was rocket science our bill comes and the lady was about to leave the bill and go again. My husband was so pissed by this point. I said no, we would like to pay our bill now. She said nothing the entire time, not her name, how would you like to pay? I had to do all the talking.
I'm sorry but with that kind of bad service, you will not have repeat customers, the food was okay, but would I go back again... nope!
Hire servers that actually know how to serve and talk to guests. That was...
Read moreMy husband and I have eaten here multiple times as he likes it. I have tried multiple dishes and thought they were decent at best. Today I decided to try something new, the Pork Sisig, the description given for it is this:
"Prepare for an explosion of flavours. Our Pork Sisig is a sizzling sensation of chopped pork, sizzling on a hot plate with onions, peppers and the perfect blend of savory seasonings. A beloved Filipino dish that's bold, zesty, and unforgettable."
It was certainly unforgettable when I started eating only to realize the "chopped pork" was just cartilage. Specifically pig ears and pig snout. If you like cartilage then I am sure you'll like this. I think it's disgusting and was totally un prepared for a dish made purely of chopped cartilage. I like any normal person assumed it would be made of chopped pork MEAT not ears and snouts. They should indicate that is what's in it for people who are not familiar with Filipino food. Bad service for take out. Absolutely disgusting food that is labeled...
