Subway — Restaurant in City of Spruce Grove

UPDATE 2: This Subway has really improved over the past few months. Sandwich quality is better (fresher veggies and good portions) and they have gotten really quick without making me feel rushed. They stay friendly and helpful. I go there enough that the app reward system is actually rewarding and there are almost always coupons available. This has become my regular Subway store and I think you should try it too!

UPDATE 1: Apparently they have been having issues with the door and if I had knocked they would have opened it for me. I returned later in the day for dinner.

Food was good, I tried something that I hadn’t tried before. Staff were friendly, I just hope this mishap doesn’t happen again.

Original Post; I walked up at 10:30am and the open sign was on but the door was locked. Someone behind the counter was just looking at me, standing outside. I checked the hours and tried the door again but...

AVOID THIS LOCATION if ordering through the app. I ordered at the wrong store, as soon as i hit submit, I realized my mistake and quickly called the store to cancel. It was no more than 20 seconds after I hit submit. She says "Oh we already made it" I said how is that possible? its 12:00 and you made 3 subs in 20 seconds?" "Yes" she wouldn't cancel it. Then a few minutes later, she marked them as picked up. Wouldn't refund, so I'm forced to do a chargeback on my visa. There is no way she couldn't cancel my order after I called within 20 seconds of submitting my order. Avoid this poor...

The staff at this Subway need serious training on both respect and basic food service. While I was ordering, an employee asked me, “Where are you actually from?” — implying I didn’t belong. That’s not just inappropriate, it’s offensive. I came to order food, not to be interrogated about my identity. Your job is to make sandwiches, not make customers feel othered or uncomfortable.

On top of that, the food was unacceptable. We were served undercooked chicken, bacon that was somehow “cooked” in 15 seconds, and a cookie that was basically raw dough. Completely careless...
