Friendly Restaurant & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Clarence-Rockland

Went out to dinner with my love and decided to go here, she ordered a "Spaghetti Caruso" that is "Baked spaghetti topped with sautéed mushrooms, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, smoked meat, black and green olives"; she is vegan and requested "no meat please", simple. When our food arrived her food had cheese on top of it, ok, she scrapped it off, not so bad. Half way through eating she then I noticed ground beef in her food, called over the waitress and she went to the back to speak to the owner and the cook; mind you she was pleasant, patient, and courteous. When the waitress returned she asked if the was anything else my GF would rather, my GF simply said "something without meat in it". The owner came out and stated that "What you ordered says it has meat sauce in it", when she brought the menu over she pointed out a different dish that did say "meat sauce" but we had to correct her that what we ordered did not said anything about this "all our pasta is made with meat sauce" or just "meat sauce" of any kind, then she referenced the picture of the dish as if that will inform the customer of exactly what is in each appropriate dish; continuing to blame the customer for a lack of menu design the owner said it's assumed that all sauces have meat in it, even though we have been to Dunn's down the road and have had no such issues with meat being in the sauce. My GF was asked to pick something else, and suggested the stir fry with no meat in it, after a minute or three i asked her if she wished to leave and she agreed. I walked to the waitress and said we would rather just pay and leave before the cook starts making the stir fry; i went back to bring my GF and on our way back the owner was bad mouthing about her then cut her sentence off when she saw us coming. I paid, I tipped for the excellent service the waitress gave and for her patience; though my GF did not have to pay, it was absolutely insulting to be blamed for such non-sense and won't...

I do not go to this restaurant too often, maybe once every two months. I have been pleased with their food in the past but not yesterday, very dissapointed, will definitely try another restaurant the next time I go for breakfast in Rockland. I went in at 11:20am and I ordered the 3 meat and 2 eggs breakfast with rye toasts instead of regular toasts (note that the rye toasts are $1:00 extra), for which the toasts were very small. My major complaint about my food was the home fries, they were cold and mushy, and tasted as if they were fried/cooked a couple of hours before my arrival. They were completely covered with the 3 meats as if to hide the look of the home fries, not impressed. Another point I would like to point out is the tables; the 4 persons tables are actually 2 smaller tables put together side by side for which the 2 tops don't even align with each other. I know it's a small detail but it is awkward. I should have probably complained back then when I got my plate but I didn't in fear of what they would do to my food if I requested a new plate. Also had ask for coffee for which the server brought me but with no cream or milk, I had to get up and go at the front counter to get some cream!?!? Overall very dissapointed with...

My wife and I plus a friend was at the restaurant about 9:00 am on Sunday February 26,2023. Apparently there was going to a party about 16 people at 10 am. It was decide to place us a one of the reserved tables. If the table was reserved why we placed there? There was lots of tables that wasn't reserved which could have sat at. There were two waitress on that morning. A young one and the older one. The waitress (older one) was rushing us to finish our meal and pay leave. My wife took a break from eating her meal when she rushed over asking her she was done, which my wife wasn't. With that feeling of being rushed made myself uncomfortable and really couldn't enough the meal. She seem to more concern of getting ready for this gathering instead taking care the people she was serving. Once again we could have been place another of the restaurant that wasn't reserved.
