Sparta's — Restaurant in Clarence-Rockland

My wife and I have been ordering food from Spartas for almost 4 years and have always received great service. We have found the staff to be welcoming, and the food delicious. For under twenty dollars you can get a delectable platter with a generous skewer of barbequed meat, freshly prepared salad with a delicious vinaigrette, a large half potato cooked to perfection, tzatziki and feta cheese included, and a mouth watering generous piece of baklava to finish. I could have rated this place a 4/5 or 5/5, but service is crap. We always pick up our food at the counter, and it always takes over 45 to sometimes more than 60min to be ready. Online orders only opens at 4:00, then we get there within 30min, because there is no specific pick up time, and we always gotta wait forever. I have been ordering since they were near the Independant, and it has always been the same.. the good is great, but having to wait over 60min for an order for 2 people is just nuts. Spartas,...

Family owned. Absolutely healthy delicious food. All meat cooked with old fashioned charcoal, the BEST flavour. My goodness. Melt in your mouth. Fresh crisp Greek salad, lovely rice pilaf with perfectly cooked potatoes, halved. Finished off with a generous piece of homemade authentic baklava. Half an hour later, we all still agreed, this meal was wonderful. Highly recommend to people of all ages. What a hidden gem....
