Went in a couple weeks ago, made a big order and spent around $90. We tried some of the new plant based sandwiches, when we ordered we mentioned how we werenât a fan of the mayo so we were going to get the Thai sauce. When we brought it home it had both; I called up and they said they would remake it, so I went back into the store. When I got there they told me they couldnât remake it because we didnât specify that we wanted no mayo, and that we have to specifically say that because it comes with both. I wasnât going to argue over semantics, so I asked again if they could remake it or refund my money for that part of the order. They told me they would do neither because âit would cost the store to much moneyâ and instead offered me a side of potato wedges. (Yes the story is as ridiculous writing it down as it was in person) When I asked for a supervisor or manager, there were apparently none working that night (of course). I didnât bother calling the store back to let them know what happened, just going straight to the reviews because I could care less about the food, my money back or voucher at this point since I wonât EVER be returning there. If I could rate this lower than a one, I would. They all need a lesson in customer service, and this is coming from someone who worked fast food and is still in the customer...
   Read moreI just had a bad experience at the Bowmanville location. I ordered 3 pieces of chicken, white meat with no spice on the taters with a small gravy. It rang up with a pop and a salad so I pointed out that I never asked for extras. I just wanted what I asked for. I was given a bag and I took it home. The order was wrong so I had to drive back from my home to get it fixed. They forgot the taters and only gave me three pieces of chicken and a gravy. The kitchen gave me my order again with the same chicken which was now cold. I said that this is not acceptable so they took it back again. Again the order is given to me. I decided to look in the bag before I left and low and behold I had someone else's order. I wasn't pleased at all. Eventually I got an order and I just left quickly. I didn't want to say something that I might regret (I already said enough). When I got home I had a taste of the chicken. It wasn't hot! I have been a Mary Brown's customer since they first opened in St. John's. I don't ever remember anything like this. We understand mistakes happen but the customer service to rectify the situation was horrible. My husband called to tell them about the issue and they said no problem come back and we will have it ready. He went there and they said they couldn't give him the missing food without him bringing the original order back. They failed to tell him this on the phone. The gave him a partial refund and he tried to order the taters but they refused to do so. Apparently there was no manager on duty that evening so he called the next day and she told him they don't give the missing item unless the order is present. So needless to say my family had chicken and the salad provided for dinner! I work in the industry and if there's a customer issue you rectify the situation to make them happy and want to come back.
