Sunrise Griddle — Restaurant in Clarington

You know how when you visit a place & you have that one favourite always go to dish and you just never seem to eat anything else... well my go to dish at this all time fav place in Bowmanville is their Vegetable Curry and Roti. It Does not matter if we are there for breakfast or lunch - for me it is so good I eat it any time of the day. This is one of my favourite local hot spots for many reasons.. to name a few : the staff and owner are amazing, I feel like I'm at home with family when I'm there, the food is outta this world good, and its just an all around great atmosphere! I am so happy that they are back open for in house dining again with Covid safety protocols in place- #supportlocal and visit them today! And I absolutely love what they've done to make it easy to view their menu- they have placed the menus on the table under glass or plastic- old school is back and stylin' - love it!! You guys...

If I could leave more stars, I would. This is simply the best breakfast place and possibly even best restaurant in Bowmanville. They have a wide variety of classic breakfasts and even a specialty corner that is sure to please. Butter Chicken Benedict, Roti, and yummy Samosas. I have never brought someone here and had them leave disappointed.

From owner/management, to the servers, and even the chefs behind the scenes, this place is simply a gem. It is a must go spot if you’re in Bowmanville or anywhere within 100km of it. My buddy drives all the way from Peterborough for this breakfast.

To anyone leaving a bad review, I’m not sure what is wrong in your life. Just know the place is smaller and gets busy on weekends. Plan accordingly and love thy server. They are all about satisfaction and deserve nothing but 5 stars.

We have been customers since the day they opened. 17 years later, we come here weekly. First, if I do not like the coffee, I would never return to a restaurant. Their coffee is delicious. The Staff Tammy and Georgette are always plaisant and they have great people skills. My husband walks in and they know what he will have, he always ordered his favorite breakfast. He does not want to change or try anything else. He has the Yummy Crepe which he adores. Always the same, the Garden Crêoe. I tried to replicate at home but he says ‘not quite the same’. The price is reasonable and we have a lot of choices. I tried different plates and never disappointed. So, Please keep the good work and thank you to the owner and the fabulous chef and our favorites girls.
