Charlie's Diner — Restaurant in Clearview

My wife & I came to this restaurant for a Sunday breakfast after reading the glowing reviews. I assume most of these are written by locals or others who don't know how to write a proper critique. We both ordered the two egg item on the menu. We both asked for eggs over easy with crispy bacon. My wife requested no home frys, which normally comes with the order. So, our order shows up. My wife ends up with home frys, and our crispy bacon was cooked in a deep fryer. Eggs were sunny side up. I said that I'd like bacon cooked on the grill. The waitress returned our meals to the kitchen & she returned rather promptly. Our entire breakfast was stone cold. Disappointed to say the least. Now, please don't tell me that this is a one-off! What short order cook uses a deep fryer to cook bacon? From what I observed, it appeared that the restaurant is more concerned about how fast the food can arrive at the table over quality. One last thing, please retire the dirty plastic glasses that had residue on them from a lack of rinsing agent typically used in dishwashers. My wife also had to ask for clean cutlery, which wasn't any cleaner the 2nd time around. I dislike having to write negative reviews. However, under the circumstances, I would like future patrons to read what we endured...

Absolutely the worse food and service I've ever received at a diner of this nature in my life. If you feel like being served food by a clearly disinterested waitress cooked by toothless methheads, you should go to this restaurant.

I've gone multiple times to this location and today was the final straw.

I ordered over medium eggs, they came undercooked and "easy".

I ordered "well cooked sausages", they came out butterflied and rock hard bricks. I asked for well cooked because the last 2 times they were drastically undercooked.

The home fries were undercooked and like eating raw potatoes.

Seriously...

ITS NOT THAT HARD TO COOK BREAKFAST FOOD. GET IT TOGETHER.

Stopped in for a Saturday morning breakfast and it was excellent. Nothing fancy, just good, standard diner fare at a reasonable price. My wife and I had the two egg breakfast (she had bacon, I went with sausage). She remarked that the bacon seemed really nice and thick and very tasty. We both enjoyed the homefries off the grill with onions. My daughter had a huge order of delicious chocolate chip pancakes. Service was bright, cheerful and really quick and prices were very fair. The man in the kitchen was very friendly and made a point of saying hello to guests through the order window. We won't hesitate to stop into this place again next time we're...
