i've never felt it was necessary to write a google review before but….
I just went to coco this week for the first time in a while and it was PACKED. There were at least 15 people in the ordering area, not enough space to social distance. Couple people not wearing a mask because they were drinking (obviously) a couple people not wearing a mask just cause. I remember before that the cashiers would regulate the number of people inside the establishment, they would tell us its 6 people max (i think it was) and kindly ask us to wait outside. None of that when i went. Thinking that this was just an isolated incident I went again a few days later but it was the same situation. I guess covid doesn’t exist at Coco.
I’ve been a regular at this location for a year since I moved into the area but stopped going this last month because I got covid and quarantined myself for one month. I can confidently say that the staff were completely new, not a familiar face in sight. Barista was slow as HECK and looked frantic like she couldn’t keep up. Cashier looked frazzled didn’t look like he knew what was going on. As I was watching the barista making drinks I saw her hesitate and stop for a few seconds before dumping out the drink she was making. This happened at least twice and I just stopped watching after the second time. Ignorance is bliss and I don’t want to see it happen to my own drink. The old batch of staff that I remember was much more efficient and confident and I’m pretty sure there used to be more people working in the front before.
In conclusion: Covid still exists, please have better regulations 2. Train your employees before letting them fly solo Maybe have more people working so lineups aren’t 15 minutes long and another 15 minutes for the drink. I will not be coming back as they have increased the prices as well
AVOID THIS COCO LOCATION maybe go to...
Read moreMay 10, 2021 update - I'm updating my review from 2 to 5 stars. I was very impressed with how Coco handled my feedback below. They were receptive to my review and took action to speak to their staff. I've been back twice since and have been greeted by friendly staff.
Bubble tea is great. No arguments there. Roasted milk tea and Jasmine milk tea are my favorites - very flavorful. But the customer service is not up to par with other bbt places.
I've been to this Coco location several times and the customer service has been okay. Not the warmest welcome, but hey, its bubble tea, not fine dining. But at my last visit (April 25, 2021), the guy behind the counter was just rude. He huffed and rolled his eyes when I checked my phone for my full order (no other customers were in line and it only took about 20seconds to double check), he didn't repeat my order before I paid, and when I pointed out a mistake on my order (ordered 3 drinks, 1 cold and 2 hot), he didn't say anything, rolled his eyes and spoke to the lady making the drinks. He then walked to the back with another coworker and was out of sight while I waited for the lady to fix my drink.
I may avoid coming to this location and go to the Coco on lougheed near Brentwood instead.
Also, my hot drinks had the sealed plastic on them instead of hot beverage lids like other places. Thought it was weird to use sealed plastic on a hot drink. It could easily break because of the built up pressure whereas removable lids have small...
Read moreI often visit coco, but near the burquitlam station one. Today is the first time I visited this location. But the service is sooooo bad! I ordered coco Mike tea with crystal pearls, but they made me with pearls. And when I drove back, the one who made it was so rude and didn’t say sorry until I asked her to. She also didn’t have a good attitude when I ordered it. I feel really disappointed about her. When I came back, another guy helped me to deal with this problem. She just hide behind him and didn’t say anything at all! She gave me a very rude feeling and her facial expression was weird. I was talking to the other guy the whole time and she didn’t come to the front. The guy was very nice but I want her to say sorry. The guy told her to do so and she said sorry but I still feel she doesn’t think she’s wrong as if she just put the wrong topping and that’s not a big deal. This is not how things worked. I’m not a mean guy to criticize others for their tiny mistakes, but I do think everyone needs to face their mistakes and take the responsibility. If I came back and she treated me very nicely and not hid at the back all the time. I would definitely not be very unhappy about...
