First time at big way hot pot in lougheed, Paisan, Patrick, Sam & Kelvin made Grandma’s night unforgettable 💛 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 13/10 Stars — Family-Filled Celebration at Big Way Hot Pot Lougheed 🫕💛
We usually go out for pho — quick, comforting, and easy, and for big way we have gone to the Langley and Coquitlam locations — but this time we wanted to make Grandma’s 77th birthday something special. She lives near lougheed but never tried big way before even though she passes by everyday, So we chose Big Way Hot Pot Lougheed, and it turned into a celebration we’ll never forget, happy birthday 77th mama! 🎂
Here, you pick your own broth, I chose the bone broth, my fiancé chose the sacha both flavourful ! There’s even a sauce station, you can choose all your toppings fresh from the counter, grab a drink, and they bring everything to your table piping hot. It’s interactive, fun, and full of flavor — the kind of meal that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Our grandma enjoyed every second. If you reserve ahead of time you can get in the que for the wait list and although we came at rush hour, it was worth the wait to see the smile on her face thank you so much big way for accommodating for us! 💛🙏🥰
The entire team went above and beyond, especially Paisan T. (assistant manager, as manager that night). He led with kindness and genuine care, making sure our whole party felt looked after. Patrick, Sam, and Kelvin were just as wonderful — attentive, friendly, and patient even on a busy night.
The highlight was singing Happy Birthday to Grandma with complimentary matcha ice cream in a charcoal cone — such a sweet, thoughtful gesture that made her day. We got out quickly to get the next people in for a table and thanked paisan and Patrick for the care and hospitality, we will be back again maybe even tomorrow!
We left smiling, full, and grateful for a team that truly cares about their guests. This location is the one you need to give a chance, right next to the skytrain about a 7 min walk, The food was fresh, the energy was great, and the service came from the heart. ❤️ they truly care sincerely 🙏💛
If you want a fun, delicious, and family-friendly experience that’s a little different — this is the place. 13/10 stars ⭐️ Thank you, Big Way Hot Pot Lougheed, for making Grandma’s birthday one we’ll cherish...
Read moreWe visited this chained casual hotpot restaurant, and it really redefines what hotpot dining can be. Traditionally, hotpot is seen as a formal, time-consuming, group-oriented, self-help meal — something you enjoy slowly with family or friends. But this place has turned that idea on its head by creating a fun, casual, and individual hotpot experience that clearly appeals to young diners and solo eaters.
The restaurant offers a wide selection of traditional hotpot ingredients, including fresh meats, seafood, handmade meatballs, vegetables, tofu, and noodles. The concept is simple and interactive — you pick your own ingredients, and the cost is based on their total weight. After that, you choose one broth from the menu (included in the price), with options ranging from classic pork bone and tomato broth to sukiyaki, tomyum, and other flavorful choices.
Once you hand over your selection, the staff quickly cooks your personalized hotpot — and it’s impressively ready in under 5 minutes. If you find your broth not flavorful enough, there’s also a self-serve sauce bar where you can mix your own dipping sauces to suit your taste.
The meal ends on a sweet note with free soft-serve ice cream, which is a nice touch after a hot and savory meal.
The only downside is that the restaurant isn’t as spotless as other traditional hot pot places, likely because of the high customer turnover and self-service format. Still, the dining area is lively and casual — a bit bustling, but in a fun way.
Overall, it was an interesting and enjoyable dining experience — perfect if you’re after something quick, affordable, and interactive. However, if you prefer a traditional, slow-paced, and sit-down hotpot meal, this might not be...
Read moreI've been to all of the Bigway branches and the Logheed branch staff were exceptionally friendly which is why I felt like I had to finally leave a review for Bigway :) The interior itself isn't the fanciest and the store size is slightly on the smaller size in comparison to the bigger branches (yet there's plenty of seating) - however, there was a surprising variety of food options (with some of the special items such as crab, fried egg, etc.) So if you're looking for a cozy and friendly Bigway branch with diverse and tasty food options here's the place! I visited around 1pm on a Thursday and there was no waiting. Also if you're a Tomyum soup fan like I am, the Tomyum broth here does not disappoint! It wasn't exactly like authentic tomyum but was super flavorful and tangy (I would recommend asking for less or no coconut milk if you like it tangy than creamy) and with some soft baby crab and shrimps it was so rich at just the right amount of spice - I paired it with 2 different sauces that were recommended at the sauce bar, garlic sesame oil and the seafood soy sauce, and would recommend the seafood soy sauce if you're into thai chilli heat! Would 100% come back and would totally recommend others to try out - especially during happy hours from 12-5pm for the free sweet winter melon tea...
