I went there for the first time today. I was expecting a diner style restaurant because they have trucker's breakfast. Anyhow, it's layout/decor reminded me of an older White Spot restaurant. All the staff are super friendly and I can see that they really try hard to keep everyone safe with the sanitizers around and napkin for people to use to open the door. They also put"sanitized" signs on the tables and I do see servers sanitizing their hands after helping customers. All of the above things made me feel very comfortable dining here. Food tasted fresh and the portion was big. We ordered a French Breakfast to share between 2 girls and both of us were FULL after the breakfast. Perfect for people who enjoys to have both sweet and savory items on their plates. Bacons we're done they way I liked (a little crispy, but not completely dry). Generous portion of butter on the side for the French toast. I will definitely come back again if I'm in the area!

Overall, I had a decent experience here. There was no wait to be seated and our meals arrived fairly quickly after we had placed our orders. I had the Chorizo Burrito which was quite tasty and extremely filling! Furthermore, it’s quite reasonably priced at roughly $13. I also had the chocolate milkshake which was not bad but quite expensive for what it was worth. The ‘not-so-good’ experiences started happening near the end of our meal. Once we asked for the bill, our server brought just one bill - she assumed we wanted one and did not ask for our preference (in this case we wanted two separate bills). Additionally, our server also charged us for a meal we never ordered. Once we brought this up, at the till as we were about to pay, our server corrected the mistake and even said that she didn’t think the amount represented what we ordered at the time she made it. She never thought to do something about this before she handed it to us? If it hadn’t been for those incidents, I would have gladly rated the Coquitlam Grill 5 stars because the food really was excellent.

I like the space. Why? It's very spacious, big booths and an open floor plan. Reminds me of American diners, but that still didn't prevent the fun experience of kids running up and down by our booth the entire time. So, the food.... The Mushroom/Swiss burger I asked to be cooked med-rare which I got and it was tasty. I think if they had not served it open it would've been better...cuz you know...you want the fake swiss cheese to melt on top of the sauteed mushrooms.....not sure if the side of mushrooms is just as appealing (see pic) The Jambalaya. Way too much sauce. Technically obliterated all the other lovely ingredients that go into a Jambalaya. So, it just tasted like spicy tomato sauce rather than the prawns, chorizo and green peppers giving it the recognizable unique flavour of a proper Jambalaya. The hot wings. They are battered-deep fried hot wings. Not pan fried. Not mentioned on the menu. If I wanted deep fried chicken....I'd go to KFC. Enough said. The Service was friendly, attentive and genuine.

We come here quite often I did try many dishes on the menu some of them are good some not so much as any resturant of this type where they have many dishes The only reason im giving it a 3 star is due to my last expirence We useally come for breakfast and i go with the truckers which is awesome. This time ive decided to go with a mexican wrap as it looked good when I saw other people order it, the wrap was preety sad a dry very well done omlette A bit of chese and maybe 5 bits of Chorizo the majority of the wrap was the actuall tortila Very dry and disapointing And from what I saw it used to be way bigger The other items we had were good ,kids breakfast, and the strawberry cake breakfast This was dissapointing where all other breakfast items ive tried were solid Its a hard pass on the burrito next time

Haven't been here for a few months, but wife has and I agree with her that they changed their supplier for yummy fries. New fries were Meh.... Burger was good, and the service was awesome. Just wish they had the old fries... Hence one stars off. New fries werent crispy and nice as the old ones. Liked that they put the mushrooms on the side for me even though I didn't ask for them liked that, made it assembling easier. Oct 12/2023 Update: had the hulk burger, pretty good, asked for sunny side up egg and it was brought on side... No prob there... Not enough fries though... Still hungry. Tasted my kids lasagna... Can see why they always order it. Will try the ribs and lasagna next time. Wife's teriyaki salmon and shrimp were OK... Not going to get it a 2nd time.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Coquitlam as it's a place where I'm guaranteed to have a good time. Food - the food isn't the most amazing thing I've ever tasted, BUT every single one that I've tried was at least good or better. There's basically no bad choice in the menu. Service/atmosphere - the seats are spacious and comfortable, the waitresses are always friendly (even more so to kids!), we never had to wait too long for our food... it's just a great experience all around. Price - with the above points, it would've already been one of my restaurants of choice, but then they went ahead and kept the price reasonable and that just seals the deal for me.
