The Coquitlam grill has become the default place for my partner when it comes to going out for dinner. I started out really impressed with this place before I became a parent. The food was surprisingly good. The service was very differently organized, and going here at off peak times it was nice to be in a pretty empty space.

However, now with two kids, and being the default parent the Coquitlam grill has started to show its spots.

The kids menus dose not have kids nutrition in mind, it’s the chicken fingers, cheesey options, and noodles and basic sauce.

There is no convenient space for a child that is not able to sit in a chair on their own. We have a newborn and a toddler in a high chair. They will put the high chair in the walking path, obstructing the path making it harder for servers and patrons to navigate between the tables. There is only ONE change table that after weeks of informing them it is not clean is still dirty in spots that you can tell it is not cleaned throughly. And the change table is ONLY IN THE WOMENS washroom, signifying who is expected to change these diapers.

It’s live a good marriage this place, the food was good enough to hook you into continued visits to the grill, however, the little details are starting to show a divorce from visiting this place is needed as the default parent.
